ALTRAWomen's AL0A5484 Paradigm 6 Road Running Shoe

No getting around the fact that I have problem feet. My feet are flat, I have bunions, and as I’ve aged, the metatarsal area has lost it’s built in padding. I need a cushy shoe with a wide and rather tall toe box that also has decent arch support. This particular Altra Paradigm fits the bill. The previous Paradigm was decent, but the toe box space wasn’t as commodious . The Paradigm 6 corrected that problem. I use the shoes for walking the dog 2-3 miles a day, and generally keep them on from morning to night. To be able to do that says a lot about their comfort.A lot of people complain about Altra’s not wearing well, but the Paradigm’s have held up. I ‘m now on my third pair, the first pair bought just a couple of months shy of 2 years ago. Can’t complain about that kind of wear!

As soon as you take them out of the box and put them on, you won’t want to take them off until you have to. They are so comfortable, lightweight, and machine washable. This is the best pair I’ve ever owned of Altria’s. My last pair I bought lasted me well over a year and I worked on my feet all day long and my feet and knees didn’t hurt at all.

I really liked these shoes, however with the cushion in the heel the foot gets pushed forward. The cushion takes away from the drop heel. I returned them as I need the drop heel.

Was skeptical in buying these shoes. A little “different “ at first. I absolutely love them. I am a nurse and stand most of the day. Will definitely buy again.

Fit is great, I use an orthotic for Plantar Fasciitis and the fit is perfect.

I was having problems with my feet and my podiatrist said I had calluses due to the shoes I was wearing when I walk my dogs. She suggested these as one of two brands. I read the reviews and followed recommendations to buy them at least a half size bigger than usual. I received my new shoes super fast and couldn't be happier. They are comfortable and not weirdly orthopedic-looking at all. The extra half size must be a good recommendation because these fit perfectly. I am very happy with these and I'm looking forward to getting another pair!

Seriously, the best shoe I have ever bought. I have been struggling with knee and ankle issues, not to mention my flat as pancake feet, and these shoes are amazing. They are comfortable. They keep my ankle from rolling out. They do not make my size 10 feet look humongous. I have nothing bad to say about them.

I bought these shoes for walking, not running I have foot issues that require me to wear soft shoes. I think Altra shoes are hard to find the right fit. You really need to try on and walk around before buying. These seem to be the right length and heel fit for me.I wore these for the first time to the zoo, about a 3 mile walk. Very comfortable except the outside rail yards seemed to rub against my middle foot a bit. Did not blister. That was my 1 star reduction.I tend to think the price of these shoes and other shoes of this type is generally much too expensive for the materials. Just my opinion, but gave 3 stars because of that. Haven’t had long enough to say much about durability.

I love the cushionioning of the trainers as I suffer from Morton's Neuroma and when wearing these I feel no pain at all. It feels like I'm walking on clouds and my forefoot has room to just be. The make my feet look smaller in comparison to other trainers in my size. I bought these in 7.5 UK/9.5 US, but would get a size 8 next time for a bit more wiggle room for my other socks apart from my Nike ones. The trainers are so comfortable to wear, I don't want to take them off. I'll definitely recommend them and I'll be getting another pair as well. We'll worth the price tag for pain relief and comfort.
