Now I have what some people call a "man draw" in said draw there are many batteries, none of them worked in this. So I had to buy a pack of batteries, no drama. Now my draw is more complete.The device is really easy to use, just note you want to test your depth across the width of the tyre, not just one spot (you could have uneven wear)Aside from that, it's pretty reliable and the measurements matched my analogue unit.

Bought 4 of these all came with a battery, it’s loose in the plastic packaging. Over all good product, does what it says

First off this does not come with a battery and you will struggle to get one off the shelf in a local shop. For this reason it was sent back as I have no inclination to drive 28 miles round trip to go and by one. Enough said!

The second time I used it, it began to malfunction. Repeatedly switching off and having to be ‘zeroed’ as it lost its setting. In the bin it went!

When you open the bag you see a white tab to pull for the battery but there is no battery in it 😒

Easy to use and good quality for a non mechanic individual with basic car knowledge.

Not sure what the product is like to use as it did not come with a battery included... Would have been nice to specify that one does not come with the gauge.
