Eclipse Windshield Sunshade, 24IN

Great sunshade. So convienent to always have the sunshade already at the windshield. Easy to reach over and pull closed like you are closing the drapes! Only bummer is you have to get new double-sided tape and re-mount them every time you have your windshield replaced.

This is exactly what I expected. It's a five stars for me.

Best sun shade made

I bought mine directly from the company, which is why it’s not a verified purchase. I installed it in a new Volt 7 years ago and it looks and works beautifully today. It endure 50 days a year of heat, over 100° and 110° is not unusual. In the winter we get rare snow and temps into the 30s. Not too cold but what a contrast!It’s always remain stuck on tight and it functions exactly as it did when I bought it. The Velcro is unchanged and it retracts smoothly. I’m not easily impressed but this sun shield is tough and functional (it covers the entire windshield, better that anything else I’ve tried.

Last year I would have given this shade a solid 5, had it on two cars for over 10 years and never had a problem.We traded a car in for a Honda Odyssey last year and one of the strings that retract the blinds broke. Looking closely at the line a couple of them are shredding and getting ready to break. My son bought the same shade for his Odyssey about a month before us and two of his lines broke for the same problem. This is a far cry from the over 10 years of use before! If we didn't like the blinds so much would give it a 1 star.The adhesive clips to hold the blinds work very well if installed correctly. You really need to follow directions and make sure the glass is cleaned very well before installing. Make sure to attach in the early morning before it gets to hot, clean the glass very well and install clips. Wait at least 24 hours before attaching the blinds and you should not have a problem.The blinds are GREAT for keeping your car cool! Simply pull from both ends toward the middle and push Velcro together. To open just pull the Velcro gently apart and let blinds slowly retract to allow driving.If we order replacements, will pull the blinds apart and check lines. If we see and chafing in line will immediately ask for a warranty replacement (as a one year warranty).UPGRADING rating back to a five - it has been over a year but contacted the company with our problem and they are sending a free replacement. This is their reply: " Your shade should last much longer than this and should be working more consistently. I’ve arranged to have a new shade shipped to you."
