I was very disappointed in this book because I thought it would provide neat ideas that middle class families could build. This book has great ideas for projects for people with a lot of money.

I bought this book to get ideas about building playhouses. There are only four plans on building childrens' playhouses in the book and none of them come with detailed instructions. There are some images of the playhouse structure however there are hardly any measurements so it is impossible to know what the dimensions are and so get supplies. The rest of the book appears to be a glossy brochure that depicts how great childhood is if you happen to be the offspring of very wealthy caucasian parents. It was kind of creepy that despite being produced in a multicultural and multiracial country with great diversity there was not a single image of a non-caucasian child. For some people that might be just what they are looking for but for me I feel like I was tricked into enriching people who have made it there aim to create a weird exclusive brochure that offers no practical assistance in building anything.
