Q: Help: One side of our house is 20 ft tall from ground to gutter. The ladder will lean against the house on an angle so what length should I buy?

You should be ok with a 28' ladder. According to Tyler, 1' for every 4' in height. So 5' out would be just under 21' to the roof leaving you with over 7' of overhang.

Q: How small does this ladder fold down to?, what is the height when not using it?

It is 12 ft and it does not fold. The upper part lowers down onto the lower section. It is a very sturdy ladder and works well if you have to get to a tall roof or on the upper half of a two story. It is heavy but very stable. We like it and find it much more stable and sturdy than our old aluminum ladder.

Q: I'm torn between this ladder and the louisville ladder fe3232. it's nearly $100 cheaper for the 32 footer. is the difference just the top plastic?

Meets and exceeds my expectations.I didn't review the "Maneuverability" and "Light weight" categories... because it's a friggin' 36 foot ladder! It's big, and unwieldy for a single person to handle. Definitely a two person job to carry and move this ladder. Be safe.Mine arrived in perfect condition, shipped directly to my work site.👍
