These are so painful that after only 10-15 minutes I have to switch it to the other ear. The "flatness" of the two sides (one that fits around the back of the ear, and the other that rests on the outside of ear canal) is so tight it doesn't allow for any of the thickness of the ear. This results in pinching so badly they become unwearable. It would be better if a harder plastic was used and contoured in the shape of an ear. I need something flat like this as I use it to listen to audiobooks on my iPhone to help me fall asleep at night, and earbuds fall out lying on my side. I was previously able to get a perfect solution for this, but it has been discontinued. Really bummed about this! Also, the sound isn't very good as the maxim volume could be higher, has static occasionally, and the cord on ones with the 90 degree elbow is very short... if you end up buying one of these get the style with the straight connector to the cord. They are about 10"-12" longer.Review update: I wrote this review and it has been about five days since it posted. I have been struggling with the ear phone during these past few days and I have noticed that every day that goes by it gets a little more flexible to the point that I can now wear it and it is much less painful. Apparently, like a leather shoe, there is a breaking-in period. I am now cautiously optimistic that this may work out after all!

So, this was purchased for use at work, I found that it didn't fit over my ear at all. I don't have particularly large ears, either. The sound quality is "meh." but at this price point, I didn't expect anything fantastic. It was really just the painful way it fit onto my ears, and the scratchy feel of the seam against my earlobes that I am dissatisfied with.

These are horrible dont buy the first pair I had. Had a short in it and returned them and got a new pair and they was good at first then stop working i only used them to test them had then put up back in the package please look for other options
