60 Fun Tokidoki Designs in a great coloring pad format – printed one side of the page
The media could not be loaded. This is the second Tokidoki coloring book that I have purchased (as well as a fantastic set of postcards.) For fans of Tokidoki, this is a great deal. This coloring pad is a larger format than the coloring book and it has a full 60 different designs in it. So many of the characters are in it that I am having lots of fun imagining my own color schemes for each of them. The designs are well printed and are easy to color. Many of the designs are detailed but not intricate and small to color. They are printed on one side of the page with the glue binding at the top – exactly what you would expect from something called a coloring pad of high quality. This is what I found while coloring in this book and checking the paper with my coloring medium.60 full page Tokidoki coloring design pagesDesigns are printed on one side of the pagePaper is heavyweight, white, somewhat smooth (but with good tooth), and, not perforated, the pages are easy to remove from the top glue bindingGlue bound with the type of edge you expect from a notepadThere is an additional illustrated cover with gold foil touches which hinges open and away from the pages and a very heavyweight cardboard back cover which provides a great surface for coloring anywhere.Designs run to the binding but you can remove full pages without loss of any design elementsAlcohol-based markers bleed through the paper readilyWater-based markers bleed through in tiny spotsIndia ink leaves slight shadows on the back of the pageGel pens do not bleed through but require additional drying time.Colored pencils work really well with this paper. While it is somewhat smooth, the paper has a good tooth for grabbing pigment. I had good results from both oil and wax based pencils with layering same and different colors as well as blending using a blending stick.I suggest a blotter page under your working page (or removing the page before coloring) if you are using markers. I like card stock but a couple of sheets of heavyweight paper work as well. This will keep seeping ink from ruining the pages below.

Using Copic and Prismacolor on Fun Designs!
Update 5/24/2018: I ordered another copy, and the paper is significantly less thick than the first copy. It's still thicker than average, but you will definitely want to keep some paper or a heavyweight sheet between pictures with these, if you get one of the new models. Honestly, I'm disappointed. This is the larger version of the coloring book I picked up on a whim. It has pages thick enough (and most lines also thick enough!) that I can use my Prismacolor or Copic markers on the actual page, rather than printing a copy onto coverstock before I can use markers without feathering going all over the paper!I still have a sheet of paper (Bristol weight) between the current page and the next design, but those are alcohol based inks with a quick saturation, so no issues with that. The designs are printed on one side, which is great, again since I use the markers.I'd never heard of this brand/design before, they're cute little Kawaii (simplified manga) characters in a few different themes. So far I've finished a half dozen, and they're each taking more than an hour, up to several hours, to complete, so even though they're a simpler design, you're still not going to whip through these in a half hour, so I think it's a good balance. I like the pad a little better than the coloring book, for ease of opening, although I am going in order of the pad, rather than picking and choosing since I don't know how much the glue at the top will take before it starts breaking the pad apart. Not a design flaw, just the nature of heavier paper and glue top binding,

A big improvement over the coloring book
If you're trying to decide between the coloring book and the coloring pad I recommend picking up the coloring pad. The coloring book is lovely but it's smaller and the pages can be a bit of a pain to tear out and there's less real estate on the pages. The coloring pad however feels lovely, with it's thicker paper and the backing on it making it easy to pick up and color in without needing something else to lay the book or pages on itself. I find that being able to easily remove the pages if I want is also a big plus, not to mention the adorable pages themselves and the amount you get for your money.Definitely recommend this one. :)

A must for tokidoki fans who love to color!
I absolutely love tokidoki, and I'm so glad it's making a comeback!! This is the cutest coloring book and actually has some pages that match this year's calendar. I'm not a huge fan of the top flip/ tear, because it's not very convenient to color the pages in whatever order. You basically have to go in the order they come in. Still worth it!

Perfect for any Tokidoki & Coloring fan!
Super fun coloring pad. I like that I can use markers with this one. I do put some paper behind the page just in case. I am not an artist by any means and I like that it’s not too intimidating to color. I do wish the artwork didn’t go off the page, near the binding. That’s just a personal preference. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves Tokidoki and coloring. It would be a great gift or fun surprise! I am going to get the regular coloring book next. The coloring pad was shipped quickly and arrived on time and exactly as pictured. The video of the book is a great way to see what the pictures are and if they are your thing!

Great family fun!
I bought this book for me, but my 5 year olds loved it so much, they just took over my book! We chatted everyday as we colored and built some great bonding moments. There was something for everyone. My son loved the "scary and ugly" things and my daughter insisted on coloring the "pretty" things. Every time I tried to start my own page, the kids insisted on a family effort. The quality of the book is the best I've seen, great detail on pages, high quality paper.

FUN COLORING
I really like this coloring book. The pages are assembled like a note pad, you can peel them off at the top. Pages are not double sided. The pages themselves are little thin but hold marker ink well. Most of the pages are very detailed but even if you aren't a fan of the Todkidoki brand the images are still fun to color.

Stupendo
Album pieno di illustrazioni tutte diverse di tokidoki. Mia figlia come me adora i mandala e i disegni di tokidoki divertenti e spiritosi. Non si tratta di un libro ma di un album colora e strappa, le pagine sono belle spesse tipo cartoncino. Il colore non è bianco ottico ma bianco sporco.

I am so pleased with the quality of this made in Canada colouring ...
I am so pleased with the quality of this made in Canada colouring pad that I bought another for myself and sent one as a gift! The colouring pad has paper that is a nice heavy weight, with single sided pages, and the pad style allows for easy removal of each page to colour without worrying about bleed-through (if you use felts or gel pens), or any pressure marks (if you're using pressure with coloured pencils). The TokiDoki images are fun and are a nice distraction. I can say that I was pleasantly surprised to find that such a quality item was produced here in Canada, and it would be great to see more adult colouring books made in this style with the same quality here at home.

Party Knaller
So cool!
