CleverDelights 100 Wood Letter Tiles - Black Color - Complete Set - Game Replacement Pieces

Overall great! There were a few that are slightly misprinted but still usable.

We had black tiles to start and had been playing with them for years. After they needed replacing, we used the beige tiles from an older game we had in the closet. It wasn't hard to figure out that the darker beige tiles had more of the counters than the lighter ones. That took the fun out of the game, so we bought the black ones from this vendor. They are just what we wanted and are glad we ordered them.

Included all the stated letters and blanks (which are the same as Scrabble btw). I don't have official Scrabble tiles to compare them to, but they're excellent quality so far. The colors are white lettering on a shiny-ish black tile. They're very clear, lightweight, and feel great. Only little thing is that the width of the pieces aren't EXACTLY uniform (see picture; the rows of pieces are aligned on the left but stick out at different parts on the right of the rows). I can live with this and it's barely noticeable.Also you can pretty easily feel the letters on the tiles. If that matters to some people.

These tiles were very good! Better than expected! There were a couple of tiles where the the letter was off-center or not painted as well as the rest. The off-center pieces I didn't use, but I didn't need them for my project. The ones that didn't have enough paint, it was easy to use a little paint and paint brush and fill it in. The pieces were all universal size and worked wonderful!

I was disturbed to learn recently, when my son and I finished a Scrabble game and decided to count the tiles in the set I've had for many years. Oh, no, 99! We did the alphabet search and found that an N was missing. Ordered a new set, which arrived in two days. Used them in a game with friends this past week; someone played the word "quart" adjacent to a triple word square; I kept waiting for a Z to make it "quartz." Never happened. So we counted the tiles. 99! Did the alphabet search and found that both the J and Z were missing. Huh? then we realized there were 13 E tiles, including one that had no numeric value printed on it.SO...rather than going to the trouble of returning the set, I kept one of the N tiles (that tile cost me $13.99). I'll save the rest for the next time I'm missing a letter...hope it's not a J or a Z!

I ordered these because I have problems with central vision (similar to macular degeneration) and was having much difficulty seeing the regular tiles with our Scrabble set. These letters are bold and high-contrast - much easier to see. They seem of excellent quality and fit within the wells of our rotating board well.

Really pretty in person. They're not all one uniform size, so some tiles are slightly bigger than others. Luckily, this didn't end up being a major problem for the project I was using them for.
