Morphy Richards Accent Pyramid Kettle (Navy/Gold) - A favourite Kettle design of mine
I like the design & finish of this Accent Pyramid (Navy/Gold) Kettle & is my Fourth purchase of this style of MR Kettle. It was bought as a backup to my Rose/Gold kettle so I can replace it quickly should it fail (its often difficult to find this style of MR kettle). Although the design limits the Kettle's capacity (depending on use) I would not change the design. The lid is metal, removeable and not hinged so there is no plastic hinge to break. The fill level is difficult to read (same on all the previous kettles) but I take the lid off (when it has cooled) and fill the kettle judging the fill level that way. The first 2 Pyramid kettles failed because of the on/off switch breaking, this and my existing Kettle's on/off switch seems much sturdier

Nice kettle
Good kettle, boils quickly, looks good, however I find mine rather noisy, it does settle down once it gets going!!.

Best kettle I have ever had
I previously had a different Morphy Richards kettle which was great but eventually it gave up the ghost after a lot of use. Keen to get another Morphy Richards kettle as we had been very happy with it. Got a red kettle for a change and it looks lovely and brightens up the kitchen. Quietly powerful, pours nicely, and I like the big handle. It's a pleasure to use. Can't fault it!

Retro
I can’t tell you how much time I spent trying to find the right kettle for my new house. I wanted a stainless kettle to match the rest of the appliances and grey/cream kitchen we have. We have also got an 1930’s cottage so wanted something a bit retro. This kettle really fits the bill. Can’t comment on noise as I never pay attention. It is easy to pour and clean. I just use vinegar to descale the kettle and it comes up shiny and timescale free. The filter is double and nice and sturdy. Only negative is the lid is stainless steel so you can’t take it off when it is hot without burning yourself. I normally fill it up through the spout rather than taking the lid off so not a massive issue!

lovely kettle
This was to replace an almost identical kettle that lasted many years but finally gave up the ghost. It is sturdy and well built. It is a little noisy compared to some electric kettles. It is a shame that the water gauge is not lit.

Leaking Defect
Rusting leak after about 4 months of use. Nice looking kettle, however I suspect that the soldering isn't perfect. There is rusty fluid that leaks from handle and water level gauge. Please refer to photo.Have reported to Amazon and will be returning.

Almost perfect but one small annoyance
Overall I love it and would recommend with a couple of small reservations. If you’re focused mainly on looks and also want good performance at a great price, this is the one for you. However if you need an easy to read fill level you might be best trying a different model.Pros:Quality sturdy build.Looks expensive.Really nice finish that doesn’t show fingerprints and is easy to wipe down. After a slightly loud start, once it gets going it’s really quiet.Lovely clean pour.Great looking.Feels speedy to me, but I haven’t timed it.I like that it has a white light to indicate it’s on, rather than the blue light on some others.Cons:Really hard to read the fill level because it’s flush to the main body of the kettle and has a dark background colour. I’m getting used to measuring by feel now but it’s a bit annoying initially.Lid a bit tight so I’m filling via the spout.Graphic on lid is incongruous and detracts from the look.
