Happpy People Live Longer!
This book talks about one of the “newer” branches of Psychology – Positive Psychology. It is an exploration into what happiness is and how to go about getting there.Rather than just listing a pile of tips on how to be happy, the author Jonny Bell talks about the science behind happiness. What was studied, how it was studied and some of the results. For me this solidified the next section which was a series of chapters and steps on “how to attain and apply happiness.”One of the first studies undertaken by Positive Psychology researchers showed that happiness can add years to your life, while unhappiness not only shaves years from your life but results in sickness and disease. A compelling reason to study happiness and find out how to add MORE to your life!I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to make changes in their lives and especially to parents who want to bring up happy, well-adjusted children.

Be Happier Today!
I have read many of the psychology-based books by author Jonny Bell, and "Positive Psychology" is my favorite. The science of happiness is a relatively new one, and Bell explains the foundations of being happy and achieving self-actualization. He gives awesome tips, and also describes the scientific basis behind these recommendations. The book is a quick read, and after finishing it, I felt on track for another step in personal development.I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in new fields of psychology, or who enjoys self-help books that explain the science behind their recommendations. Great read!

Positive Pyschology
Positive Psychology is a refreshing look in 'laymans terms' of the way our mind works. I particular enjoyed Chapter 5 on Hope vs Helplessness. Well worth reading.

Positive Thinking To Get Me Back On Track
After reading others' reviews, I decided to buy this book because I wanted something easy to read and not too long. Although I've been on the personal growth path for a long time, this book really brought back all of the important points for a satisfying and happy life into focus. Just the push I needed to get back on track. Great book!

So many good books and authors out there - this is not one of them!
I hesitate to write a negative review on what is supposed to be a positive subject, but I honestly believe it's necessary because the 5 star reviews are of questionable merit in my opinion and led me to buy this book originally. The book is a sophomoric attempt in writing a book in the first place; spelling errors, questionable word usage, choppy grammar and incomplete ideas. It's simply not enjoyable to read. Furthermore, the book is short (60 pages) but still manages to contain content filler. Also, the author tries to paraphrase for an entire chapter (chapter 7 of only 10 chapters) the fantastic author of "Flow" and falls flat on his face. This book and its author simply take ideas from smarter people, better authors in fact, who have their own original ideas, that have been stated so much better elsewhere. The term "hack job comes to mind here. I am not a good author, but I am an avid reader who loves great ideas and good writing. This does not qualify as that. $10 for this book? $5.99 at best and it should be found in the clearance section of the book store for half that.

Prescription-free medicine for the soul
This book came along at the precise time in my life that I needed it. A few of the reviews popped out at me so I gave it a try. I see that the book has meant different things to different people. For me it is about overcoming negativity due to ongoing family matters that have led to guilt and sadness. Jonny Bell’s book is wonderful prescription-free medicine. I’ve just finished the book and right now I feel inspired and mindful of my positive strengths. I immediately started re-reading the book and adding highlights so I can refer to the most relevant passages often. Even if you feel your life is perfect and you are happy and fulfilled, remember that life can change in an instant. This book will help to prepare you for any of life’s unknown challenges that await you.

Overall short simple and to the point.
Would have liked to see more detail on the experiments but overall a good short introductory read to positive psychology.
