I have been ASTOUNDED by the results of doing the exercises in this book
The crazy thing about this book is that even a complete nonbeliever can have incredible success with these techniques. I have been ASTOUNDED by the changes these simple and relatively straightforward strategies have brought about. I have all 3 of the author, Sergio Magana's books, and this one has been the most easy for me to follow the exercises of and reap benefits from. I personally have focused primarily on exercises related to achieving greater mental clarity but the wide array of techniques offered range from healing to manifestation and enlightenment.Synopsis:The introduction is a brief review of how Magana came to know and develop personal expertise and professional success in this field of ancient traditions through his radio shows in Mexico and seminars (which was also explained in the beginning of his second book, The Toltec Secret).Chapter 1 is about the energy systems of the body in the Mexican system (as compared to the eastern tradition of the chakra system with some differences). What appeals to me especially about these explanations is that they are embodied by animals or items and colors, i.e. 1st energy center that corresponds with the first chakra is the scorpion and is black, 2nd is a feather, red & white, 3rd is flag, white... etc, and therefore they are easy to visualize as opposed to being just concepts. That is one of my favorite aspects of the way this book explains these, what appear to be, latent energies available for us to tap in more tangible ways... there are so many dynamic symbols, that somehow come to life through DOING the exercises. The 2 separate energy center systems are each explained just enough to have allowed me to get a grasp on something to picture in my mind that becomes tangible through doing the exercises.Chapter 2 explains Toltec numerology enough for the reader to be able to understand the "meanings" of numbers from 1 to 20, again with vivid symbolic descriptions that describe how numbers have relationships with our lives and interconnect with other numbers in energetic ways. A way to look at numbers less as concepts and more as powers that we can tap. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't something about "how to calculate my birthday numbers" that would somehow be revealing but it was interesting nonetheless.Chapter 3 is about healing the hidden inner self which can be described as the unconscious/the subconscious/the shadow self/the false self/the ego self... and in the book it is referred to as the "caves of power" of which there are 20, so, 20 ways of working with our inner selves. This part of the book describes various exercises for the first 7 caves because, as described at the end of the chapter, the other 13 "can only be accessed in lucid dreams or altered states of consciousness." Which is fine since there is plenty to do with just the first seven cave exercises.Chapter 4 describes breathing exercises. This chapter (for me) is easily worth the cost of the entire book all on its own. It is what awakened my interest in the Toltec traditions in the first place and the rest is gravy. I don't know why but just by breathing in "13" and breathing out "8" 13 times, and repeating this process in 4 sets, had me literally SOBBING. As in heaving shaking shoulders and gushing tears and feeling overcome with incredible gratitude. I have no idea why. The reason is explained but my visceral response was more than I EVER could have expected from "mere" NUMBERS (which, when I first did the exercise, did not yet have any meanings for me to respond to emotionally. They were just cold numbers.) For me, this is all I really wanted the book for, because it was so unbelievably powerful. I have only practiced the exercises up until this point in the book. However, the rest of the book is LOADED with additional techniques that I'm anticipating will be just as powerful... (I will edit the review as the results come in).Chapter 5 describes visualization exercises with the blood imagined as a serpent to heal: "the liver for anger, the kidneys for fear and guilt, the stomach for traumas that we have not been able to digest, and the lungs for sadness and gloom."Chapter 6 has exercises that Magana's clients have said cured the diseases they were told were incurable, and have helped people to lose weight without changing their diets.Chapter 7 deals with the "life and death of disease" and has an elaborate exercise to address life threatening illnesses. At the end of the chapter there is an amazing testimonial of a person who attended a workshop of the author, who applied at this technique to his hepatitis C infected brother, who fully recovered in less than three months.Chapter 8 describes what is called "psychic surgery", which requires having several items to perform the exercises: 1) an obsidian wand, 2) 4 small obsidian, Jade or white quartz stones, and 3) clay or play-dough, the results of which are supposed to remove disease from the body. There are 2 testimonials at the end of the chapter, one of a person who performed healing on themselves, and another person who was able to help heal several people using these techniques, and even one example of successful remote healing. (I purchased the required stones and play-dough today and will report back soon!)Chapter 9 describes the use of healing techniques "to open doors of perception" and "leave behind all the burdens of your life", using an obsidian arrowhead on 6 specific acupressure points on the face and neck.Part II is about rejuvenationChapter 10 describes the patterns and programs that we need to change to rejuvenate our bodies and describes a visualization that uses the ancient Mexicans' idea of a flower as a metaphor for the universe (with a very specific description of flower parts) in a very specific exercise, as well as using the following symbols to reverse the effects of aging: the symbol *, the picture of an eye, and the number 990.Chapter 11 describes a rejuvenation technique using the cosmic cross with a very nice testimonial at the end.Chapter 12 describes a Moon related rejuvenation exercise (similar to the serpent exercise in chapter 5) that needs to be performed at the full moon.Part III is about manifestationChapter 13 has three more advanced exercises that build on the foundation created by successfully completing earlier exercises in the book.Chapter 14 is called "the mathematical order of creation" and has to do with using Toltec numerology to manifest desired results.Chapter 15 is about tapping the power of rituals to manifest, for example: rain, and includes an exercise that requires a rattle or maraca.Part IV consists of a single chapter, Chapter 16, dealing with achieving enlightenment (blooming) and describes a single visualization exercise. This book sounds ridiculously unrealistic, and yet for people who have seen many doctors or are trying many different medications and not seeing results, doing only SOME of the exercises this book could provide relief in the most unexpected ways, or even have profoundly life changing effects, or life-saving results.I have never attended a seminar by the author but ANYONE can get this book just to try some some of their own DIY healing and save on the time and expense of attending a seminar, OR if someone they love is sick and a skeptic, this book has exercises that could potentially be used to help others, regardless of their beliefs. Not even having done more than a couple of the exercises myself, I have had powerful and life-altering experiences. Magana has achieved an impressive feat by taking very ethereal themes and concepts and making exercises out of what amounts to dreamlike DIY healing experiences, explaining them in a lucid and relatively step-by-step manner. It's possibly not even necessary to read the descriptions in each chapter since and I have sometimes just skipped over them and jumped to the exercises directly and experienced profound results. Here is an example of an exercise for "learning to see auras" if you are looking for a sampling of what an exercise in this book is like: http://www.healyourlife.com/how-to-see-auras-in-5-steps. I can't wait to see more exciting testimonials in the review section in the next couple months as people who get the book progress through the exercises and see their lives transformed. Get this book, do the exercises and share your experiences here please! Thanks!!!

Gateways to Personal Power and Freedom
A very powerful book, full of magic and wisdom, elucidating gateways to personal power and freedom. For those who feel drawn to the Toltec wisdom, I highly recommend Sergio's teachings as fruitful jewels in the living current of nahualism.I have read all three of his books, attended multiple workshops (he is one of my favorite teachers ever), and practiced many of the teachings on a daily basis for a couple of years now. These teachings have transformed my inner landscape, and my life, in marvelous ways. The blessings keep on coming. At the workshops, I have met wonderful people (no surprise, eh?), and I love being part of the Toltec community of practitioners. Here is what these books can point you toward:Break the moon's invisible prison and be free.Live a lucid life, and die a lucid death.Empower yourself to realize the true self, beyond duality, beyond limitation.Change the world by changing yourself so deeply, and so thoroughly, that you radiate power and lucidity.Perceive the inconceivable.

Entering the World of Magic
Caves of Power is an amazing book for anyone on the path of self-discovery and self-healing. By sharing his personal story, Sergio is opening up the doors to the great wisdom of the ancient Mexicans who left behind an invaluable heritage of their spiritual knowledge. The first part of the book is dedicated to the human energy system. Here Sergio explains the techniques how to balance our “totonalcayos”, widely known as chakras and activate “the Chicomoztoc”, the inner centers of our personal power. Along with breathing techniques, this is a great foundation for personal self-healing and transformation. In the second part, Sergio is describing a fascinating practice of rejuvenation and reversing aging. This wonderful technique allows turning back time so the body can regain its health and younger look. There are lots of testimonies from people all over the world included in the book proving the fact that Toltec wisdom is truly universal and can benefit everybody.

A "Precious Knowledge" Treasure-Trove
Caves of Power is a little treasure-trove of what the ancient Mexicans called "precious knowledge." At heart, it is a practical manual and is meant to be experienced, not just read. These are powerful and effective tools and techniques for healing self and others, rejuvenation, and manifesting what you want to bring into your life. The ultimate purpose of all this is to take you along the road to your own blossoming as an awakened human being - a Quetzalcoatl. Many of the practices shared in this work were hidden for hundreds of years, but due to our entering into the time of the Sixth Sun, they are being shared publicly by people like author Sergio Magaña. If you feel a resonance to the spiritual traditions of the ancient Mexican women and men of knowledge, I highly recommend you buy this book. And, above all, practice the techniques. Ometeotl.

I enjoy how he weaves his personal stories and journey as ...
I have been studying with Sergio and have purchased all three of his books. Caves of Power is the easiest one to read and to put into practice. I enjoy how he weaves his personal stories and journey as a healer into the book making it come to life. By far though, the hands on knowledge and exercises he gifts us, are powerful tools for transformation and manifestation. In these tumultuous times,I find solace in being presented tools to look at my own shadows & underworlds, while being taught how to activate my personal dreams and true empowerment. I definitely recommend this author, spiritual teacher and Medicine Man to any seeker on the path, especially those drawn to the Ancient healing techniques of Mexico and that region of the world.

An unmissable read!
In The Caves Of Power, Sergio Magana has managed to pull off an amazing feat of translating and opening up words and practices from a very ancient Mexican lineage. After his wonderful introduction into himself, his personal experiences and his journey up to coming to share this sacred knowledge, Sergio writes many, many ancient healing techniques that us ordinary people can practice in our daily lives, not only to heal ourselves but to heal our friends, family and wider circle.Sergio has a beautifully written explanation of the ancient knowledge behind these healing practices. He describes, starting with the human energy system, our energy centres and how to balance them through sound, the Toltec numerology and how the numbers corrilate to healing in certain ways and the rationality behind the Toltec knowledge of the numeric cycles, energy, healing and the universes cycles and rhythms. The ancient Nhauatl language is used throughout the book with the corosponding translations and understanding, I find this very valuble as this very old language that could easily dissapear and be forgotten about is now being globalised and people are becoming more aware of the people that used to speak in this way. With each word, in depth descriptions and knowledge behind the words is given. The book also makes connections with what modern day science knows now and what the ancient Toltecs, Mexicas and Mayans already knew back then.It is just such an in depth book!Describing from the first energies, right through the creation and the cycle of the numbers and how these corrolate to each healing practice. And the practices are written with clear steps and pictures to help the reader achieve what is intended. It seems the ancient people had a thourough understanding of how energy works and manifests creation and healing. They had an understanding that matter is first created through dreams, energy and patterns. It can go so much deeper! You need to practice these to get an experiential level of understanding and healing, not just intelectual entertainment. You can heal and iron out past traumas, destructive behaviours and habits, access more energy, rejuvinate the body and mind! Become happier, lighter and more connected than ever!Thank you Sergio Magana!

Amazing!
With each book that Sergio Magaña writes it seems he only gets better and better; this book is no exception. It is both fascinating and unique, the teachings that are being made available to us through these books come from an oral lineage passed down from master to student therefore making them true treasures that we should cherish. The availability of these teachings have never before been on offer and are coming out at this point in history because it has been foretold. Through the work of Ocelocoyotl and others like him, and our participation in these practices we are bringing this foretold prophecy to life. The possibilities of healing, rejuvenation and manifestation are all well and truly available to those who possess the dedication, discipline and above all courage to do so.I look forward to the next book and would like to honestly thank Sergio Magaña Ocelocoyotl for endeavouring to make this ancient knowledge available to all brothers and sisters.I wish all those who read and participate in these techniques blossoming on their path.Ometeotl!

like the Spiritual Life and Death technique or the Flower ...
Sergio's third book contains very precise instructions about procedures and excercises originating from the ancient toltec-mexica tradition and the explanations and the background for them as well.I have done some of those before several times for myself, like the Spiritual Life and Death technique or the Flower excercise for example, and got definite beneficial changes in my life.I can recommend this book to anyone who wants to get real changes in her/his/client's life and for deeper understanding I also suggest to buy Sergio's former 2 books as well: 2012-2021 The Dawn of the Sixth Sun and The Toltec Secret.

Ancient spirituallty into a practical book to beautifully transform your life.
I have just finished the highly engaging Caves of Power, from Sergio Magana. What a treasure of insights...Sergio is a very compelling writer. Like in the workshops I had the change to do with him, he doesn't waste time justifying ancient shamanic techniques with a New Age angle. Rather, he delivers them true to their ancestral core and wisdom. His explanation on the numerological aspects and the glimpse of the Aztec cosmogony are fantastic. Most of all, this book is an immediate manual to start transforming your life through methods that you can practice on a daily basis. I have experienced first hand this power of his teaching and methods in a few days practice...If you want to buy just one spiritual book this year, this is the one!
