BlastCase Offset Ring Side Mount for Flashlight/Laser, Black

Two is better than one -- sometimes. In this case, however, it's even better than bet.ter
I use two of these mounts fitted end to end on the rail of all my scoped AR15's, plus a SCAR-16, an AR-10, and the excellent Beretta MR-1. Fitted inside the pair of mounts is my favorite -- and what many hard-core police and military units (plus individuals, of course) -- consider the best ever conceived red dot sighting and acquisition system ever designed; the extremely fast, reliable, and rugged target acquisition red-dot (there is none better, IMO, once you've gotten used to it's unique design) South African OEG (occluded eye gunsight) unit. They are no longer manufacture (I purchase every unit I am able to obtain, selling them to my customers and friends, and keeping spares for myself) and that's a shame. They developed their reputation during the civil war in South Africa during the 1970's; many soldiers stated the quick target acquisition saved their lives on numerous occasions when ambushed or attacked by rebels. Enough history...When mounted 'end-to-end' these all metal mounts make a superb and almost indestructible base for red-dots, scopes, and lights. Their cost, quality, and ease of use make these mounts a 'must-have' on the firearm, plus a welcome addition to your field and bug-out bags. They are well worth twice the price. I'm buying a half-dozen mounts to sell or use. One of the better low-cost mounts available from Amazon and other outlets...good luck

Full writeup here..very good value
First off..go ahead & get it..it works, and well I might add, for my application anyways. Qualify myself-former Marine. Qualify my weapon-Carbine length m4-spikes tactical-with shorter carbine length rails-utg pro.My initial mount wishlist- I wanted a decent light mount for my 1" streamlight 130 lumen polytac. I wanted to have the light within thumb reach of my nondominant left hand where my front vertical grip is located. This would enable me to engage the light with almost no effort and without releasing my grip, from either hand, from the weapon. I wanted around 1-2 inches of rail space maximum taken up, and I wanted my mount to have a very secure grip on both the light & the rail system. All of these points were achieved in spades.I too was concerned about quality because of the low cost. I read all the reviews & spent alot of time looking at various mounts all over the net. I have not shot with this mount yet, but one reviewer put 700 rds downrange at a class and had no issues.Once put on, I found the light placement perfect for thumb activation. This mount is meant for a side rail, NOT a bottom rail. It fit at the very front of my right side rail, with the light extending an inch or so beyond my front sight post. My streamlight is tightened very well with the 4 allen screws, and the thumbnut on the rail portion, there is no play/or movement whatsoever.Light criticisms-With the light turned on, there is barrel shadowing present in the lights throw; meaning you can clearly see it in the circular light pattern downrange. Someone to your side will see the front of your weapon lit up fairly easily because of the placement of the light. Also consider the weight of a light and this mount to your weapon. Mount is only 2 ounces, one of the lightest but strongest I came across.Lastly, my trijicon reflex sight is washed out a bit making it a little harder to see the dot against a wash of light. One reason I went with 130 lumens and not more. None of this is the fault of the mount, but worth mentioning to consider in your application.Overall- I would much rather have a light mounted to my weapon for home defense/duty/shtf or whatever, and this mount has given me much confidence in that sense. Hope this helps you make a solid purchase decision.Semper Fi & carry on.....

Perfect when combined with a Cree LED torch light.
Need a mount for your tactical flash light or laser? This offset ring is the ticket! I bought one of those inexpensive Cree Hausbell LED flashlights and combined it with this mount and spent less than $12 for a great tactical light solution. About the mount: Its sturdy, and it is made from aluminum which is naturally a soft metal, however it's perfect for holding a flashlight. When I first placed the flashlight in the mount it looked and felt like it was not going to fit, however once I lined up one screw with the threads in the mount, I tightened and then all the rest followed. Of course I had to take off the pocket clip that was on the flashlight but that was easy! Get this in conjunction with the Cree LED pocket light and you will have a great budget tac-flashlight.

Great product, one minor(ish) flaw
I recently purchased this to help complete a custom airsoft CQB M4 build I've been working on for a year or so. I already had a 300 lumen flashlight, so this was perfect.Pros:Quality; stronk like bullLooks; adds a nice touchPrice; you will not beat the price of this item.Cons:I only found one, and that is that it is not perfectly round on the inside, so a round flashlight will not fit well, UNLESS you are mounting a 3/4" flashlight, in which case it will fit but not be secure. In other reviews I saw that people wrapped their flashlights with electrical tape and the like to snug up the fit. You may have to do this.In the case of using a 1" flashlight, as it is advertised to secure, you may run into trouble like I have. Because the inside is not perfectly round, the flashlight will not fit inside, but barely. I will use a dremel to shave off the excess material, and then I am certain the flashlight will fit. Just be aware, that a round 1" flashlight may not fit in this product without a little modification to the product. All in all, 4/5. I would recommend this product.
