Voltage will kill it.
A good unit for identifying cables except that, per the instructions, you have to verify the absence of voltage on each cable before hooking this unit up. It does not have voltage detection and seemingly no voltage protection. If you accidentally connect to a sat receiver or power supply fed line there goes this unit.

Great tool for tracing our camper TV cables
My son was able to trace and test our cables in our camper. We just purchased the camper from a different party and they had only satellite TV set up. With this tool, we were able to get our camper so that it hooked up to cable in the RV park.

Died shortly after using it
I used it for work for only 2 weeks and now it stopped working. I changed the battery to a new one but even that didn't help. It just doesn't work anymore. Complete waste of money.
