Living with Happiness
I titled it the way I did because this book does definitely help you to come away empowered on how to increase the happiness in all areas of your life. Many people from all walks of life are going to benefit from this book because of the information that it contains regardless of how happy you are in your life (whether you are still learning to be happy or you are already super happy). Some of the helpful chapters contained in this uplifting book are about living in higher purpose and recognizing life purpose. You may want to keep a pen, paper, and/or highlighter handy for information that is going to resonate with you depending what path you are currently on in your life. I must be considerate of all who are interested in the book, but have yet to read it so I am going to share a couple of my favorite excerpts from the book. My first favorite passages are on page 183(the chapter about living in higher purpose) where it reads: Manifesting is a matter of trusting and believing in yourself, and holding that vision in front of you(the first sentence of the last paragraph)You are often tested by the universe to see how much you believe in your vision. Every goal is reachable if you keep working on it. (also in the last paragragh on page 183 of the living in higher purpose chapter). My second favorite passages are on page 191 of the recognizing life purpose chapter that read:There is often a time lag between the new thought and the having it that confuses and stops many people from continuing to think of the new.So past thoughts may still affect you for a while, even as you change your thinking. Within two to three months, however, the new thoughts will have gained momentum and will have created new outer forms to match.I felt the urge to mention these passages taken from the book because they resonate to me (and I am sure others who read the book) how important it is to believe in your dreams regardless of how long they take to manifest. Living with Joy also gives helpful information on how the bigger the dream that you have, the more time that it may take due to the internal changes that are going to have to occur first. The book contains fun excercises and information regarding stimulating the internal changes needed to put you on the path of joy and increasing your receptiveness to attract what you desire. There is going to be others who read the book and discover many other helpful passages and healing information contained in the book. Last, but not least, the other favorite information that I got from this book was how important it was to honor yourself as a unique individual and avoid comparing yourself as better or less than when it comes to how others are doing in their life. Yes, I am aware that countless others may know this, but I enjoyed being reminded of this because I live in an area where it is sometimes too easy to let others define you by what you do. Please understand that I am happy and appreciative where I live, but the first thing I did discover when I moved to the D.C. area is that it is all too common for many people to ask your occupation as a condition of defining you. I quickly learned to avoid comparing myself to others and just be the best that I can be. However,it is always good to read a helpful and cheerful book (such as Living with Joy) on why it is important to your own overall happiness to go within yourself to discover your highest path, and compare your life to that (also found in the recognizing your life purpose chapter). This book is very important to purchase if you have even the slightest concern and/or determination to increase the happiness and joy in all areas of your life and those who surround you.

This is my desert island book.
If I could give this book 10 stars I would. I have all the books in the series. I started with Opening to Channel back in 2011 or 2012 and I can't begin to explain how powerful and eye-opening reading that book was. It opened a spiritual doorway in me. I often read a passage of one the Orin and DaBen books everyday before bed. I can't recommend this book highly enough. The messages just ring true in your soul. For many years every time I had a question or problem I was facing, if I opened up one of these books, and the exact solution would be staring me in the face. Now they have become so much a part of my life, I do the Orin and DaBen meditations daily. I am more peaceful, I feel as if I have gotten rid of a constant low level state of anxiety and I hold less fear in my body. I am more compassionate. I gained the courage to leave an unhealthy work situation and unhealthy relationships. I have attracted my soul mate who is also a spiritual person and we are celebrating 4 years together this week. I found work that was enjoyable and now I have doubled my income. I can hear messages from my guides. I owe a lot of these improvements in my life to my continual spiritual growth. Many of my manifestations that I have been working on for years are coming true. Buying and reading this book along with the others in the series has been one of the best and most important things I have ever done with my life. I know that sounds extreme, but it is true. It's not very expensive, but it might be one of the best things you ever do! I have also read A LOT of spiritual books and books on law of attraction and manifesting. And this is among the BEST. You can read it over and over and learn something new each time.

Life-changing!
Living With Joy is an amazing book that has changed my life for the better!Although I've always been fairly positive and happy overall, at times I would sink into a funk about some aspect of my life or another that wasn't working out like I wanted it to. Living With Joy has totally smoothed out those rough spots by helping me to think about and experience my life in a new and better way. Some of its basic tenets are this: that you can learn and grow and accomplish what you need to in life on a path of hard work and struggle or on a path of ease and joy - your call. That there is plenty to go around for everyone if you choose the path of joy. That the life situations we encounter are a direct reflection of our own attitudes and state of mind. That approaching social situations from a stance of love and compassion will cancel out negativity and hard feelings. And that you can life your life the way you want to, not the way you feel like you have to or the way you feel is expected of you.My sister recently blogged about Living With Joy and had this to say:
I am continuing to be amazed and astounded at how suddenly unproblematic my historically always-problematic personal life has become, through the simple exercise of some Living With Joy basics: being willing to stay vulnerable, to speak the truth that is my deepest truth, to listen fully without making either myself or the other person "wrong", to express love when I feel it, the way I feel it, without either attachment or aversion to outcome, to give my full attention and full compassion to the situation someone else is having, while knowing it's not my situation to navigate. To be quiet when I want to be quiet, which is amazingly often, considering what a chatter-box I can tend to be. There is no one who stresses me. It's a change in me, and I like it, and I absolutely love the way it opens doors to all the good in everyone I know. There is so much good in all of us, it floors me.
I highly recommend this book!
