Update before using
I saw negative reviews about this monitor and quite frankly I think most of them are nitpicky they have to be extremely bored or have too much time on their hands because I see excellent quality all around.I have a MSI GEFORCE RTX 3080 I have another 4k monitor by ACER but it's made for AMD will work with Nvidia but I wanted a monitor that could open up for Nvidia so I got the G7.It's so simple to put together a 5 year old can do it, before you start get a flash drive and download the updated drivers because if not you won't be able to manually change response times and so on you must use the flash drive directly to the monitor it won't work any other way. With gaming be prepared because you will be adjusting to the speed even though you won't see that 1ms response time they claim I have seen low like 2.5 and mind you we're talking milliseconds that's faster than a second it also takes 1000ms to make a 1 second cycle, that's not with all because certain gamed aren't optimized for high end graphics. The picture and screen quality is really good I watch a lot of Sci-Fi I watched Dr Strange Multiverse Madness prior to getting the G7 and it was a different experience with the G7 much more detail.FAIR WARNING !!! this monitor gets hot so does the power pack the powers the G7 as I'm typing this 3:49 AM EST it's 78F outside and it's 87F in my room that's not the monitor by itself so if you have a high-powered computer system this monitor will add on to the heat.

Great overall, bad for multitasking tho.
Pros:The screen is a beauty and you can see everything very clearly with barely any hiccups.Easy to set up.Has a decent menu thats easy to maneuver around.Has no screen tear unless the game itself does not support 4k.Visually great even when playing games that ain't meant for 4k.Cons:Does have some weight to it so you have to be careful.Terrible for multitasking while gaming. The screen cannot compute whether to stay hdr or go regular hdmi when gaming and will go black. If your gaming, tabbing out only really works on full screen but even then that's slower then borderless. And if you go borderless the screen will have the hdmi issue as said above.Other then that. I've come to work with the issue and love the screen quality very much.

Best non-OLED monitor
I replaced an Alienware 1080p monitor with this Samsung 4K and I am using it primarly for work and it has much clearer text for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Keep in mind that you must use Windows magnification of about 200% because leaving Windows in native 4K creates microscopic text which is unreadable. So there is some distortion of text at this level of magnification but the trade-off is worth it compared to using a 1080p monitor. I also tried the monitor with my Xbox Series X and it works as described at 4K and 120hz. The only monitor that would be better is an OLED panel however they are 1.5x the price of this monitor and the current one from Alienware has a fan which reviewers have stated is an annoyance. This monitor seems like a great solution until OLED monitors become less expensive and fanless.

After 3 replacements, I finally got a good one.
UPDATE: After 2 years, the monitor power light turns on blue, but the screen is completely black. OSD does not show at all. Customer support does not assist and this is a widely reported issue.First 2 had dead pixel right out the box. This may sound like a rant but the background information on what happened with the item and Amazon customer service should give you an idea of how much I felt this monitor would be worth it to receive a fully non-defective one.Amazon has a weird policy where I have to make a full return and place a new order after the first replacement on this monitor. That took a while cuz I bought it during Prime Day sale and customer service kept giving me incorrect information such as they can easily give me the same deal only to keep me waiting a month to tell me they could not. So I had to wait roughly a month and a half to buy the monitor and I got less of a discount. I even have 5 herniated discs so setting up this monitor and returning them were causing me a significant amount of back pain. That being said, I felt the quality of the monitor for streaming, gaming, and even writing would be worth the trouble for me to get a proper model. The third monitor came flawless and I have truly enjoyed every minute of sitting in front of it. I believe this will be worth it for you as there are only a few other companies that make monitors with these specs at this price range.Just beware that I have seen quite a few reviewers post they had issues with dead pixels as well. Also, all 3 models have a bit of backlight bleeding around the edges, more than most monitors, but it does not really affect the picture quality unless you're looking at pitch black backgrounds. Perhaps that is a defect, but not enough to make me want to return it as I feel it does not affect normal day to day use.
