I replaced the fuel tank on my dad's garden tractor and wanted the add a fuel shut-off. This one has a built on fuel filter, which is a bonus. Since my installation was on a plastic fuel tank, I added a 10mx1.25 threaded nut on the inside of the tank.

I saw reviews saying that it leaked and to put thread tape on it. I couldn’t find my tape that was gas approved so decided to try it without. Works perfect and no leaks. Directions: Back the nut down to the body of the valve. Thread the valve all the way to the tank until it stops. Back the valve out slightly to align it where you want it. Hold valve in place while tightening the nut securely to the tank with 9/16” wrench. The rubber gasket will crush and make it seal. It needs to be tight.

I give a five star rating for the following reasons: Fixed well on my Champion inverter; no leaks; when opened, the inverter started right away; when in off positon, the inverter shutted off as well; it's inexpensive; has a filter. Can ask for more.

Never installed it. I could see right from the package that the out let was way smaller than 1/4 inch ( more like 1/8 inch). I need true volume 1/4 inch gas flow for this engine. Sent it back.

It is a quality part,that will fit most 2 cycle Yamaha ET 600 clones, but do keep in mind that in this version, the outlet pipe is oriented to the left. Most ET 600 clones, the outlet is oriented to the right. You can make due by orienting the outlet so that the fuel hose does not interfere with the front facia, but this means the valve switch may not be entirely visible, which means it is not a direct replacement, but will do in a pinch to get yoru generator going.
