Berkley Gulp! Grub Saltwater Fishing Soft Bait

if its a fish and it eats, it will eat gulp. period.this is my go to bait. for deep drop on a hi lo rig ill use a 12/0 offset circle hook and 4"-8" gulp bait.for inshore ill get a 2-10oz jig head and a 2-6" gulp bait and cast, wait for sink, retrieve.if you dont catch fish, its YOU.

I bought these for a trip to Saskatchewan, to target large pike. The pike loved these 8" beasts. I used them targeting shallow water, rigging them either behind a large colorado blade spinner. or with a large single screw on hook through the nose. My buddy had never fished for any large fish before this and did very well using them. We even took a couple of large walleye on them. Since the pike there are quite cannabalistic I chose the motor oil with red flecks to mimic their color, but suspect most dark colors would have worked. Berkley makes excellent soft baits.

I always have had good luck with Gulp baits. So I wanted to try this 5-incher on a Z-Man Texas Eye jig, which has a swiveling head and a tall barb to better hold baits. It's not as durable as a Z-man lure, which I expected to be true. But it's a good length for that jig's hook size, and it lasts long enough. The curved curly tail seems to hold up well to pecking by minnows. I unexpectedly caught a keeper spotted sea trout on one of my first few casts. So I can't complain.

I put these on 3oz bucktails and troll them 20’ behind a planer for grouper. It produces!

I've used this several times fishing for redfish and southern flounder. It has a very nice profile in the water and the fish love it. I've also caught speckled sea trout with it also. Great price and it's very durable compared to other soft baits.

Smells terrible, dries up quick if not in sauce and becomes unusable. Tails get bit off pretty easy, isn’t the most durable. But these things always catch fish even when the bite is turned off. Cost isn’t too bad.

Never bought these before and the package was smaller than I expected but who said fishing is a cheap hobby.
