Yes and yes. There is a battery already installed and there is also a spare battery and screwdriver for when it needs replacing.

Q: Please what sort of battery does this product come with?

It has a coin battery which I was very worried about as they are very toxic if a toddler swallowed it. However it appears to be well screwed in but children would need supervised using it. Just my opinion.
