Proven performer
I use a lot of hobby motors, various sizes and manufacturers but I got a tip my hat to this particular motor, I'm here to buy more, and to suggest that if you're looking for a 6 to 12 volt medium torque motor this is one heck of a deal. It's tough as nails and does have power, I have purposefully overdriven one of the motors to test it, I started at 18 volts up through 24, it ran perfectly, although at 20+ volts it does start getting a little toasty on the long runs. But 24/7 use at 12 volts is a breeze for this motor, just remember it's not an industrial motor, but it's a damn fine one for private sector hobby use.

Amazing little high speed motor
I bought 2 of these about a year ago and threw them in my box in case I needed them later. This year I decided to make a Rock Tumbler, and I grabbed one of these. The biggest/only pain that I had was that the shaft size is 2mm where every pinion gear I could find on Amazon was 3.175mm so I had to hunt around a bit, found some eventually on a hobby site and put the gearbox together. This motor runs very quiet for the speed it runs at and has fantastic torque. I am running it well below spec because I want it to last - I am driving it with a 9V 2A supply, which gives plenty of torque to get the tumbler started when loaded and even at stall it will deliver much less than rated current (max power rated is 5A at 12V or 60W, I will stall at 18W which is less than 1/3 of that). From playing around with it I think running this at max power will overheat the motor and cause it to burn out, being designed for a drill it will handle 60W for short bursts only and you will have to watch the heat, but at 18W it runs like a dream all day.I can stall it without overheating and it has been running in the tumbler 24/7 now for 1 week with no problems.

Spins fast
Works as it should. Spins super fast. I am using on a deer feeder. A little to fast for a feeder. I should have gotten a slower motor for a feeder. I am sure this is fine for applications where you need a faster motor.

Worked well with a DC motor controller
I purchased this motor for ease of testing with a motor controller connected to a raspberry pi. The motors I wanted to use were the same type housed inside of wheels mounted to cart - so much less convenient to work on. I was able to connect this one up to my motor controller and get it running immediately. For my use, worked great.

Didn't last long
It worked great at first, and boy did it have some speed on it! But it died while it was running more constantly at my 5th grader's science fair. Lasted maybe an hour, tops. I tried changing the battery, making sure the wires were all aligned but got nothing. It did what it had to do to impress the teacher, but didn't hold out for the audience. Still a good little motor, only I think it's meant for way smaller, shorter time spanned projects.

Worked for 30 seconds, then stopped.
Do not recommend. Had already thrown away the box or would have returned it. Buzzed and span for less than 30 seconds on 12V then just died. Buy something else from someone else.
