When you run out of oil what kind and where do I purchase extra oil from ????

Try to stick with the weight oil recommended in the owner's manual if there is one.  If not, use a 20 to 50 weight "BAR AND CHAIN" oil, obtainable from Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe's, etc. (20 wt is for mainly winter/cold season use, use a 30wt or heavier for warmer temps. If you have fuel powered lawn and garden equipment, you may already have some 30wt oil on hand. 
As someone suggested, you COULD use CANOLA, Peanut, or Olive oil  in a pinch-but those don't have the same anti-wear properties and will "gum up" over time while petroleum based, or syntheticly modified  for-purpose oils will not. 
If you use a TOO THIN light weight oil (like 10wt vs 30wt), not only will it be more likely to LEAK OUT between uses if the saw isn't stored properly (with saw horizontal and  its oil tank vertical)  it will sling off the blade more easily, which can get messier- a factor if there are things like clothing you don't necessarily want to get oily or siding close to where you are trimming. (The oil will USUALLY not be clean when it comes flying off the chain or bar and can permanently stain. )
If there is no proper weight oil around, a heavier oil is better than a lighter one, the main downside to using a HEAVIER weight oil than recommended is that the sawn shreds will stick together more tenaciously and more quickly build under the blade cover so as to require more frequent cleaning. out.

Does the chainsaw detach from the pole? Prior responses say both yes and no.

If you are asking about the ability to detach and use the chain saw without the pole, the answer is NO! There are other models suck as the SWJ807E that are detachable to use as both a chain saw and a pole saw.

Does the chain come installed

Unfortunately it does not come installed, and that is perhaps the most challenging part of the whole process.  Just read the instructions carefully and take your time getting it with the right amount of tension.
  Also this unit does not come with specific oil   (Bar & Chain oil)  needed for the operation.    Once put together,  it will cut, it will slice, it will dice like Edward Scissorhands
