Yes!!!!! In was able to place a heatsink using this tape and remove it to place it more centered on an integrated circuit. This tape is manufactured for placing heat sinks on electronic over-heating circuits. It worked well in that application as the integrated circuits are either incased in epoxy or ceramic materials.

Q: I have a power supply with a aluminum backside. I need to adhere it to a metal surface and withstand heat in an enclosed space. Will this work?

The tape is designed to sit on a hot surface and transfer heat through itself to a heatsink, which would typically be either aluminum or copper, so yes it should work. Clean the surfaces with isopropyl first. However, two things to know are that this is going to be designed to adhere a heatsink, it may not be good for securing other materials against pulling forces, and also that if you use it to adhere heatsinks in a fully enclosed space your cooling is going to be limited due to the ambient temperature inside that space. You really want some kind of ventilation and air flow.

Not sure.It is double sided tape but not very sticky
