Other than being too big for me, these are perfect. They fit my grilling son perfectly though. They absolutely keep away the heat in the hot griddle and they aren't long and stiff like some of leather or suede ones. I'll make do with them. They are that good.

These are great! Way more comfortable than the straight up silicone gloves and give perfect heat protection.Really glad we got these!

I like these gloves because they are big enough for my huge hands. They are comfortable, very flexible and are grippy. They also protect against heat when used quickly.So the negatives:You can't "hold onto" a very hot pot or skillet or grill grate for more than 5 seconds or so - the heat start coming through pretty quickly. So you have to put what ever you pick up down quickly. Not a big deal for me because I use these for grilling/smoking and I never have to lift thinks and hold onto them for long. The BIGGEST crapper is when I take the gloves off quickly, the inside of the glove comes out. It is a HUGE hassle aligning the fingers to get back inside the protective outer glove.Bottom line - all these gloves on Amazon that look like this are the same. They work only for quick pick ups of hot things very well. They protect for open heat very well. But do not expect to hold a grill grate of hot pan while talking to friends - do it quickly.

I wear these gloves to remove hot cast iron skillets from the oven and never feel the heat. My son is a chef and I gave him a pair.

Heat resistant for items from the oven up to may be 15 to 20 seconds and not heat proof. I tried to hold a Kadhai which I used for deep frying to shift to another gas burner and the heat immediately transferred to my hands within a second. So if your usage is for transferring a bread or cake tin from the oven to the counter top this is good.

These are awesome, you dont lose any dexterity, can pick up almost anything with them.
