Q: Can this be used safely for LARP?

It is heavy, weighing in at 20 pounds. Very flexible, but I had to remove rings around the neck to fit it over my head. A pair of needle nose pliers was used. Bend and twist. I have a 44-46 chest and is a bit tight, but otherwise it fits fine. Being 5'10" it fits about 2 or 3 inches above my knee. It is a light steel so if you are using foam swords, it should be able to be good for LARP.

I have a 44" chest, am 6'0" and weigh 210 lbs and It fits me ok. My son has the same one and is 6'1" and 150 lbs. The difference in fit is the length when worn. On me it comes down just a few inches past my belt. On him it comes to the top of his knees. You do need to be mindful of how to put it on. We have found that if you lay it flat on a bed with the arms raised up and slide into it keeping your arms straight then stand up with your arms still raised and let gravity slid it on you it is a breeze. Don't try to bring your arms down pulling it on as you would a T-shirt as it doesn't stretch and will pull the rings open.

I don't believe it to be overly heavy, it is heavy enough that you will notice you are moving a tad slower, but not so much so that it becomes a problem. I use mine for larping, and am pretty satisfied with it.
