Q: is there a smaller size as these are quite large and work out during sleep

Not sure about a smaller size. These are standard size. Sometimes if not fitted correctly they will come out during sleep. Try rolling between fingers and pulling ear when fitting to get a good fit. Hold each in place for at least 1 minute until it expands to fit your ear. Hope that's helpful.
