Great aromatherapy book
I love this book. I actually had a much older copy of this book. It has most of the scents you will find. The descriptions are great. It also gives some history behind the scent as well

a book for my collection
scott cunningham was a decent author on magical practices and lifestyles.I have to say his books never put me in awe, but he has a lot of insight into what truly matters and I can always trust him to introduce new ideas and define old ones in an easy to understand way.its a good book for any *grimoire* collectionim not sure if i agree that essential oils are going to be as hard to make at home as he implied, but he helped me come up with a more useful word for *essential oils*.Im going with herbal essences from now on from his definition since im going to get into herbalism here soon.i really hope he was incorrect about how difficult they are to make at home.Ive seen people do it fairly easily on youtube in their kitchen with life-hacks from just regular kitchenware.i already know the difference between herbal essences and tinctures. essences are always external use only.my favorite definition on tinctures:Tinctures are heavily concentrated extracts made by placing chopped fresh or dried herbs into a jar and covering them with a solvent: alcohol, glycerin or vinegar.theyre supposed to be imbibable by design.*essential oils* must be distilled and the buttery, waxy-looking leftover stuff that rises to the top is the *essential oil*.tbh the reason i went ahead and bought this book was the part on *essential oils* but it also pleasantly surprised me by incidentally reminding me about gem and mineral essences which was something i was trying to remember the name of.his section is on annointing stones, not the gemstone *elixers* but its an interesting side-note related to the topic of magical aromatherapy if crystals get infused in with the herbal essences for liquid incenses or annointing skin with carriers oils or alcohol bases mixed with herbal essences and infused with minerals or from corresponding stones.there are also gemstone *elixers* purportedly that can be safely imbibed.

Just what I wanted, when I wanted it
Great book! I was looking for a specific application, and found it quickly. The book is a very well-organized directory of aromatherapy oils, as well as applications. It covers things you haven't thought of yet, even though you've been thinking for a while. I dearly love all of Scott Cunningham's books, and I mourn him, even as I celebrate his wonderful contributions to our world each time I go back to one of his books. I doubt that anyone will ever be able to take his place. Magical Aromatherapy: The Power of Scent (Llewellyn's New Age Series)

Magical and Practical
This book is fanstatic. I love Scott Cunningham, he was taken from this earth too early. He would have continued to write great books if not greater than this book. Not only are his methods of use magical but can also be incorporated for everyday practical uses as well. I look forward to buying, reading, and collecting all of Scott Cunniham's books.

Excellence.
I'm assuming you've read Cunningham's Encyclopedia of magical herbs, and Incense, Oils & Brews. With those awesome books, he takes it a step further with aromatherapy. It's a great book and gets more into detail on the oils themselves than in the aforementioned I/O/B book. It's small (ie: short & 1/2" thick), it's an easy read, packed full of great info, and it's cheap! It's great. :)

The book is easy to use
Excited to have this book. Not only does it give aromatherapy information it includes "magic" as the title mentions.. hence i thought it was an adjective describing the aromatherapy. The book is easy to use, well written and enlightening.
