These things are just awesome. We have a 20 plus yr old colonial home. Several of the bedrooms were never fitted up with overhead lights, so we decided to finally do it ourselves. These are VERY nice and I love how we can even adjust the temperature of the lighting to match needs. For example, most folks want "warmer" light for bedroom, but if we decide to convert it later to an office or for a craft room, etc, we can change the "temp" for a whiter tone. We can also greatly illuminate areas by moving the actual lights slightly. It makes a huge difference when trying to light cabinet areas or closets but not have to separately wire another light or use cruddy battery ones. Hubby says beside having to get into our attic for a bit, that install was on the easier side for most things like this. Great product, we love them.

Nice looking lights on our vaulted wood ceiling! Glad we went with the black trim and the ability to turn these to being perfectly flat and level on all sides prevents being blinded. The gimbal feature is awesome on these with basically endless possibilities for angling the light. We had started with cheap, flat wafer led lights but they were too bright on the vaulted ceiling and the white lenses in them looked obnoxious when off so I ended up replacing those with these. Very happy with everything about these. Also using a couple more as wall wash lights for a fireplace and an art wall. Just be aware that they are 6” outside measurement of the black trim so I had to get goof rings. The first light I installed sprang right up through the 6” hole since it was the same size! Other than that little hiccup which was totally my fault, they’re awesome!

The WAC downlights seem very well made – sturdy, free of gratuitous plastics, essentially noise-free, minimal glare, and worked out-of-the-box with my Lutron Sunnata dimmers. In short, they performed as expected for a high-quality device – no complaints.As a precaution, however, I would highly recommend trying a single lamp before ordering up dozens to redo your home. (I would give the same advice regarding any manufacturer’s downlight.) Consider that this type of emitter evolved from the flashlight to the jewelry store and now to our homes. The TIR optics direct the output such that a majority of the light falls from a 9-foot ceiling onto less than a 7-foot diameter circle on the floor. It could take quite a few to provide uniform illumination in a large room. Alternatively, I think they work best by providing light around the perimeter that supplements some other light source in the center.Also, the gimbal is rather quirky – when you wish to raise the beam it simultaneously rotates – sort of annoying. You need to aim the device before pushing it forever into the drywall - not the other way around. Similarly, inserting wires into the driver box is something to get right the first time. A captive wire doesn't release easily like a Wago connector - I just cut off their wires and used traditional nuts - there's plenty of room.

I bought 2 -24 packs for my kitchen addition and remodel and love them.Love the fact light temp is adjustable and the gimbals can be adjusted. I bought enough to light my basement stairs and the garage.

I had existing slimline 6” lights but wanted to be able to move the light (fisheye/gimble) so I got these. The lights are heavy and seem quality, super strong springs (I caught my fingers a few times). I like the quick connect fittings instead of the old fashioned wire nut set up. Super fast installation. The ONLY drawback is that they did not fit my current cutout opening. My old lights were 6” and these are 6”, but they slipped right into the cutout, so not actually 6”, they’re slightly smaller. I had to go to Home Depot and find something these would sit in to keep them from slipping into the opening. Took me FOREVER to find what I needed. Found something that would work, and was able to do the install and keep them from slipping up into the opening. I’m happy with the look and function of these lights, just be aware that they’re like women’s jeans-each brand is a slightly different size…even when it says 6”…

Great for vaulted ceilings, small space overhead. Super bright & relatively easy installation.

These are wonderful lights. The large adjustment helps non-designers get the light where they want it. I have used them all over to wash walls and highlight art.I also have 3" art lights that only have a 30degree adjustment in my bedroom. They are not as bright and very tricky to get the distance and separation right. Really takes a pro.Non-pro's can install these with confidence. I have a 36" hall with these installed down the center as my only lighting. Perfection! And I can point then at artwork. These really brighten up a space. The are also great for awkward sloped ceilings. I completely transformed a tiny bathroom with three of these.

This is a replacement for an existing WAC light that I damaged. It works great. I especially like that ability to adjust color temperature. That benefit of that was made clear to me when we made color changes to the decor and the original color temp was no longer suitable. A quick change of the temp switch and it was perfect again.
