Griot's Garage 67255CSTBUC Ultimate Car Wash Bucket

Very well made and durable. Large casters roll easily on the driveway and garage. But in detergent cup easily measures Griot's car wash. Snap on lid keeps bucket clean between washings. Buying on Amazon saved a few bucks vs. buying direct for some reason.

BEWARE BEWARE! Do not buy this bucket. As a manufacturing design engineer I am extremely baffled and unhappy by the choice of plastic used for this product. Go look at the 1 star reviews and believe them. The shelf will break off. The wheels will break. The handle will break. I stand by Griots products but they made an oversight with this one. They aren’t in the business of buckets. I commend them trying and I still trust their compounds. I trust that they will do what’s right and improve this design flaw.

I’ve come to trust and rely on products carrying the Griot’s Garage name. This bucket is no exception. Costly but very high quality. Hand washing in the driveway is certainly more labor than running through the local pay and play, but the results are superior and money savings will eventually cover the cost of this bucket. Recommend.

I purchased this because I wanted a bucket with wheels as well as the grit guard in the bottom. Other setups cost about $35 just for the wheeled bottom attachment. I also like that this bucket has more surface area than a standard round one as well as the little upper shelf. I don't like that the upper shelf tends to come out when you are moving around the water and suds. The suds tend to push up on the bottom of the upper shelf and displace it from its perch. I already accidentally broke off one of the plastic tabs that hold the upper shelf in place...it still holds up the shelf though. It would be nice to see a "finger hole" in the bottom grit guard so that one could remove it for cleaning a bit easier too. Over all it is a great bucket with a few minor flaws. This would be more appropriately priced $10 - $15 less IMHO.

The first one I had was quite old. They haven't changed the design or look for a long time but they don't need to. It's an awesome wash bucket. The old one I had was I'd say 16 years old and it was still good but the red faded to pink. I gave it to a coworker.

This bucket has serious design flaws. The grading inside the bucket took a screwdriver to remove as it was too tight. The handle kept rubbing the sides of the bucket when you try to set the handle to the side of the bucket. The cover didn't fit correctly. The bucket was cheaply made. For 50 dollars I expected much better from Griots. I returned it. For a company like Griots to offer this crap is really surprising. Go elsewhere for a wash bucket.
