Boosted to 5 stars
EDIT: After seeing a TCL response to another person, I was successful in getting the sound bar to work. I still think that somewhere in the instructions It should be clearer exactly how to connect it with wifi as I got sidetracked down into bluetooth when I never needed to be.The instructions are probably obvious for some people but for those not really facile with tech vocabulary it isn't as clear. Just one line added to either the listing or the instructions would have helped a lot. That said, once hooked up it was perfect - high quality, clear sound that I don't need a hearing aid to understand.I read about this and finally ordered one, loving the idea that I could use my Roku remote instead of having to add another one. However, not once did it say in any of the verbiage that not all remotes have bluetooth pairing buttons. Had I known that, I would have checked mine and ordered the right remote at the same time.So. Great product but one star off for not giving folks ALL the information they need to be successful with it.

if i can do it you can do it
this is an awesome sound bar. i received it in 1 day, opened the box plugged it in and before i could even get the instruction manual out of the bag, my tcl tv was talking me thru the process! never even opened the manual. first it updated the sound bar, then it asked me if i heard the sounds, answered yes, then i was done.the sound is really great, never could hear the tv unless sound was turned up to 30 or so, with this sound bar have it set to 13 or 14!i read a lot of reviews that said it wouldn't work with their tv, it says specifically for tcl tv.if you have a tcl tv buy it. it really works great. FYI will not work with roku streaming sticks.UPDATE this did not fit under my tv as it is not hung on the wall. went to dollar tree bought 3 packages of furniture slides ( 3" round plastic disks 3 in a package) glued 3 together and put under the legs. work perfectly and only cost $3.75!

Good Tech and affordable
I found the square design of the Soundbar to be nicer looking live. Looks like a nice piece of furniture. The Sound is great. I was not getting a real Stereo sound from the TV alone but the Soundbar is adds that. Watched several big Musicals and big action blockbusters. I like surround sound but in the space my TV is set up in the Stereo is close and works. One HUGE plus that I love is the new-tech, mega easy set up for my ROKU set up which has completely replaced the old, UnGodly expensive cable TV set up. This new adjusted tech reflects the EXTREME cost savings. It is simply plugging the soundbar in and clicking on the settings in ROKU and it is done. I have become a big fan of TCL products. The less costly ROKU TV's have surprising clear pictures. A slight struggle with the TV's sound but this bar helps that. And it is designed for ROKU tvs so that is many TV brands that have ROKU sets that can be used as well.

Wouldn't Connect...Initially
So...like a few others after an hour of wresting with this soundbar, I almost gave up because it wouldn't connect. After reading another review, from Ace, I decided to try his/her workaround. I have Fios internet, btw.First, I logged into my Fios app and disabled all of my 5 Ghz wifi options and only left the 2.5 Ghz enabled. After doing that, I rebooted both of my tvs (I bought 2 soundbars) via the system option on the home screen for my tvs.Secondly, I reset both soundbars even though I purchased them brand new.Third, I connected both tvs to my Wifi, I connected it to my guest wifi network option since that one operates on 2.5 Ghz since I disabled the 5 Ghz wifi through the app.Lastly, I retried to connect the soundbars to my tvs and within seconds that worked...I looked up as to why the 5 Ghz wifi would be an issue with connection and read that 2.4 GHz signals have more range and penetration than 5 GHz signals. It is common to get only 2.4 WiFi in some rooms due to distance and/or obstructions. Makes sense, since my router is in the basement and my tvs/soundbars are on the second floor. I've never had this issue before, but I guess with this particular soundbar, interference with the 5 Ghz along with distance from the router causes connectivity issues. After I connected, I re-enabled my 5 Ghz through the fios app and the soundbars are still working fine. I did have to reconnect some of my other devices within my house to the wifi but not an issue for me. I got these soundbars when they were 75% off which for that value, I'll take the short headache of connection troubleshooting. And compared to the sound from the actual tvs, the soundbars are a vast improvement.I'd recommend if you want wireless options for your Roku Tv, being as though Roku Tvs don't allow you to bluetooth connect any speakers or soundbars unless they are a Roku product otherwise, you can connect another brand but it would have to be connected using an optical wire.
