Well Made
I was looking for parts to rescue a long dead GameBoy found in the back of a closet. The display was dead and the switches didn’t work. I bought this just for spare parts. The switches and intervals are well made. The screws are identical matches. So is the case and screen cover. I used the old case for “authenticity” and the yellowed plastic you get with age. I could have easily replaced it with this case, though and it would look brand new and no one could tell it from the original. The hard part was fixing the display. Hint: get a temperature controlled soldering iron and a small flat tip. Heat to 675 and reflow ever single joint under the tab. It took over an hour, but the display went from black lines with nothing readable, to a perfect classic GameBoy display. I bough the Vastar Soldering soldering iron on Amazon, too….$34.77

Overall a Great Purchase with a Few Minor Annoyances
I watched quite a few YouTube videos prior to replacing the original green shell on my very scratched up Gameboy, so the process took me about 25 minutes total. There are no instructions included, so I suggest doing the same along with taking pictures so that you know how everything fits. The first thing I noticed upon opening the package is that there seemed to be a few light crescent-shaped stress marks on the front and back of the shell. If you look at the attached photos, on the front of the shell, you can see them next to the right d-pad button, above the 'B' button and below the 'A' button. On the back, you can see two of them clearly on the battery cover. It's not a huge deal, but it was noticeable to me.The process of replacing the shell was pretty straight-forward: unscrew the back panel with the included tri-wing screwdriver, carefully unplug the ribbon cable for the screen, unscrew the boards with the included Phillips-head screwdriver, then do everything in reverse with the new buttons and shell. Once everything is put together, attach the front plastic screen and you're good to go.However, about halfway through the process, I noticed that all three battery springs were installed opposite to how they were supposed to be installed. It was an easy fix, just pull them out and flip them, but one had some corrosion already, seen in one of my photos. After fixing this and screwing both halves together, they lined up fairly well. The edges could afford some light sanding to rid them of sharp edges, but at a quick glance, this shell looks pretty good. The colors look almost dead on. The buttons feel original. An unscratched screen is worth the purchase price alone. For less than $20, you can have a passable original Gameboy case. If I really wanted to, I could probably send it back for a flawless case with no stress marks, but it's probably more trouble than it's worth.Overall, I think this product is a good buy for the price. If you plan on using this case for a display Gameboy, I'd wait for an original that can be cleaned or is already in good shape. If you just want to use it for fun and showing off to others, it's a must-buy.

Great product at an awesome price!
This was the perfect price for a shell or to scavenge for parts. The quality is on par as my original Gameboy classic so I could easily switch out parts when the rubber / plastic wore through.

Poorly molded
Pros: Was available for prime delivery.Cons:Poorly molded with gaps where they shouldn't be.Material is soft and cheap allowing screws to strip easily.Color is not quite right.

Good value. Not exactly the same as the original case.
Wish the manufacturer tried harder to match the original colors etc. Quality is good.

First impressions, very pleased
Needed to replace my old case and got this. It’s great. Strong and feels exactly like the old one. I used the same buttons from my original gameboy so can’t speak to the buttons but from inspection they look and feel exactly the same. I’m keeping the buttons as replacement parts. This order came a day earlier than expected which is nice to see. Overall, first impressions, very pleased.

Looks and Feels Just Like it Should
The shell is an excellent replacement for old and worn GameBoy shells. The swap from the old shell to the new shell is quite smooth. Unfortunately, my GameBoy's internals have stopped working, but this is no fault of this product; it is likely from my own mistake during the swap or simply the age of the system. This shell makes it look great in spite of the current lack of functionality.

Fantastic kit, but bad screwdriver
I used this kit to replace some old worn parts of my old Gameboy. The kit contents are exhaustive; it includes replacement screws, buttons, button pads, even a new adhesive screen and replacement link cable cover. However, the Y head screwdriver is very substandard. If you buy this kit, do yourself a favor and make sure you buy a different Y head screwdriver. Otherwise, this kit is fantastic. Strongly advise this if you want to replace any parts in your old Gameboy.
