EdotenMen's Japan Kimono quilted clothes Sashiko Samue

I wear this several days a week as I work from home. Love the fabric feel and it’s become much softer as it’s been broken in. The directions say to hand wash only, which is really not feasible for most people. I’ve been washing on the delicate cycle and then hanging them to dry and it’s worked fine.

I'll be honest, I bought this cuz I am gonna cosplay as Gojo Wakana from Kisekoi (Dress Up Darling) and was debating between a samue and a jinbei. My main concern with the samue was that it might be too warm. That's not the case, in fact I tried it on and spent the rest of the day lounging in it because it was so nice. The fabric is soft and warm, but not overly much. I am 5'10"ish, 135 lbs-ish, about a size 28-30 in American mens, and the measurements indicated on the item description are accurate, the pants are about a 31 with an elastic band that stretches. Never wore a samue before, its very loose fitting, you have to tie the straps around your ankles and also inside and outside the top - if you aren't aware, make sure it's left over right. Not only is that the only way to tie both of the ties, but it also let's people know you're not dead.

Accidentally received one size bigger than purchased, but turned out to be the right size for me!Perfect size between baggy and loose but tight and fitting.Despite the washing instructions saying hand-wash I did some searching and I think it will be okay to toss it in the washing machine on delicate with some mesh laundry bags to keep the clothes folded and protected on cold water. If all goes well I'll update this review!

Quality sewing and fit. I am 5'11 and 200lbs and the 3L fits well after a wash and dry. Fabric has great depth and hand. The outfit did arrive with a strong unpleasant smell of mildew and mothballs, but overall these are very well made

Although the manufacturer is based in China, these are based on traditional Japanese samue and are a great choice if your looking for functional/working samue. The cloth material and sewn joints are fairly durable, although you may find that the first piece to break down are your interior/exterior ties as they bare all the tension when moving around. The color will also begin to fade in color the more you wear these samue while working and sweating. However, simply redye you can redye your cloth for a fresh look once or twice a year. (Although you would lose the two toned thread colors from the original design.) These would be best used in mild to cool weather, as an open jacket acts more like a haori or hanten, while a closed jacket is clearly a samue - all in the context of farming/gardening and not for community engagement (festivals, ceremonies.) I personally like using these samue as an overtop/cardigan/jacket to a thinner and more light weight samue for added warmth and some additional durability. The weave of the fabric is thick enough to avoid all non-barbed abrasives, such soil, river rocks, and vegetation that is mostly leaves. But avoid wearing these, or any non-denim or canvas, sammue, hanten, or haori, in brambles/thorns/sharp abrasive plant matter, as cotton and most polyblends will easily snag and destroy your Samue. In total, these are an cost effective and very functional samue for everyday farming/gardening, with a few caviats for when outdoor work becomes more prickly.🌲🌲🌲

I ordered one size up to wear around the house, so I wanted it a little loose. It fits like a dream, it seems the sizing is pretty accurate for this one. It's beautiful and comfortable, fabric feels durable I'd give it a 10 out outa 10.

The quality of the material and construction is very good. It runs a little small but not that much. I use this outfit as my watercolor smock and enjoy how comfortable it is.

I sent this item back. It was very poorly made. Many threads hanging off. Poor stitching. And also it was advertised as Japanese made. Not at all! Very disappointing. MADE IN CHINA !I gave 2 stars because the material seemed well made, but the workmanship of it was poor.

Trägt sich extrem angenehm leicht. Interessanterweise hält sie sogar wärmer als manch andere meiner Winterklamotten.Qualität ist extrem gut. Werde mir noch mehr bestellen auch wenn’s ein bisschen teurer ist.

なんていうのか忘れましたけど、凹凸のある特殊な生地がザラっとしていて心地よいです。少し大きめにしたので、そのまま寝間着としても使えます。非常に気に入ったのでもう一着色違いで買おうと思ってます。

Schöne Japanische (leider Made in China/trotzdem vernünftig verarbeitet) Arbeits/Freizeit Kleidung.Bei der Größe bitte genauestens aufpassen. Ich trage als Westeuropäer in der Regel bei so Japanischen Schnitten 3xl. Glücklicher Weise ab ich die größte Größe bestellt und so liegt sie nicht slimfit an, sondern trägt sich luftig, was auch gut für die Bewegung ist.Ansonsten nettes Teil.....
