I’m a flashlight geek and this is one of my favorite flashlights. If you are looking for a long distance, focused intense beam then this is for you. Applications and usefulness all hinge around being a spotlight. I’ve had success using it for boating, mounting it on my bike & one wheel, and looking for my cat. It fits perfectly in my hand and has a very solid weight to it. After unboxing, it took a little over 2 hours to charge. I am very impressed with this product!Pros- We’ll made. Bought it for reading #'s & words on tanks in the Bakken oil field from my truck. I can find the tanks sometimes with binoculars and this light other times with just the light. I don't no what others think but I'm guessing it doesn't look manly enough you no it doesn't have the gritty camo textured surface it doesn't turn into a knife etc. I really prefer streamlined tools that do their job which hopefully makes mine easier. Love this light. I was playing with it in the dark in the park the other night and I got within 70 feet of an outside smoking area at an apt building, and this guy was standing in the dark smoking playing with his little flash light same size is this one and he was pointing the light around and had a flustered look! lol !! I no I can't read minds but I felt like he was wondering what's wrong with his light and why doesn't it work like mine lol. I mean he had a light that had a regular 10ft beam or what ever old school regular flashlights do and I was shining this light from across the length of the park towards that smoking area. So dude watched me light up the area from forever away crispy clear and then looked at his light dumbfounded and disgusted! I wasn't sure if the charger worked as it should because the green light stayed on so I emailed Olight from here at amazon and they sent a replacement quickly they where great to me. I had the light for months before I decided to follow thru with the email, I did email right away after I received the light about the charger but didn't as I said follow up, I waited for a few months to see if it was not working or ? it charged fine just the green light didn't go off ever, I now think that I never ran the battery down to turn the light red or what ever color it is supposed to be when Not charged, I think I always kept it charged so it stayed green ? I don't no but they sent me another anyways. So my bad. I no Arnold the Terminator probably wouldn't prefer this lights lack of style, it's kind of dorky looking but solid af. I had it in my cart for months at around 100$ then I got the amazon alert about things that changed price in my cart and this thing was 69$ I snapped it up and Love it.

The light projection is really astounding. Whereas most lights dissipate in brightness after a short distance, this one really illuminates things at full strength even at long distances.As a rider in the night (electric longboards), i need to be able to see clearly into the distance so i dont hit a pothole and die. This light is more effective for my purposes at the first step down level (470 lumen) than my Coast 1400 lumen at max power with new batteries and my duracell "2500" lumen also at max power with new batteries. Whoever complained that its "just a spotlight" apparently doesnt realize that this is not some normal flashlight for power outages, but a specialist's tool. With its entire build revolving around its specific purpose of providing brightness at a distance, hence its name "archer", this is the perfect flashlight for what it was engineered for.With a sleek and solid feel, along with an unexpectedly heavy weight, you can appreciate the quality as soon as you hold it. Easy to control with simple options: low, medium, high. Press the button to turn it on/off, hold to change brightness, double click if you want a strobe light that could give someone a seizure. All the scrolling through different functions of other brands of lights to get to the one i want can be frustrating, so the simplicity of the design and functionality is refreshing.As far as battery life, i charged it when i bought it 3 weeks ago and have been blasting it every chance i get as well as a solid hour and a half of night riding. Its still green on the battery indicator, which if i recall correctly from the manual means its above 75% still.Best flashlight I've ever owned hands down.As a side note, this is the first review I've written in many years. This light is just so good that I had to write this up.

This is an awesome light weight “throw” light. It’s intended to get lumens down range with some spill. It’s not intended to be a daily driver for close use case applications. Though you can, but it will be very bright. Battery life is very good, where I used in on and off during a recent 3 day camping trip.The only drawback is the proprietary charger. Don’t loose it.All in all a quality light, great build, excellent light projection, and good feel in the hands.

Needed somthing poweful with a focused beam to read house numbers when Doordashing. This was perfect for the job. I clipped the holster to my car visor and it retains the flashlight wihtout fail. Battery last forever and the button is easliy locatable. Great Olight addition.
