Good buy, easy to operate
Works fantastic, I gave this 5 stars overall. On easy to use: I gave it 4 stars because It’s gauged in Celsius not Fahrenheit.I would recommend buying your own springs, then springs that come on the hooks simply don’t have the stretch or pliability needed. I purchase some 3 inch springs from Lowe’s that matched the size I needed to retain adequate tension. The first time I attempted to attach the springs one broke. I added the photos to show the springs I purchased, as well as the broken spring. The bucket in the photo is a standard blue buckets from Lowe’sThe also be sure to monitor your temp with a outside thermometer. The gauge on the heater is not constant, so to ensure you’re maintaining a certain temp inside of the bucket or pail you’ll need a good High range thermometer like for grilling or cooking.

nice item
Nice small easy to handle heater…it did not heat fast enough for my needs, but I am keeping it anyway because it is a great product well made for slow steady heating…I tried Warmguard 5gal.Heater first, but prefer this one because of the thermostat/switch, sturdiness of the insulated material and it’s size for my old hands with old injuries…the insulated option is worth the minimal extra cost, since it also keeps the heater cool to the touch from the outside as well as insulates against the colder outside temps. It stays in place and fits those regular 5 gal. Buckets very well. Rolls up small for storage. Not fragile in any way.

Works great BUT.
Wanted to give a ONE star for couple reason. First discription says it's fit a 5 gallon pail. Yes it does if you attach heater belt all the way to the bottom of pail and even then I had to use a pliers to stretch the springs to fasten it. Heater belt could / should be longer. Or longer springs provided. Now due to excessive spring tention the next morning one of the spring fastening clips tore out and heater was only holding on by lower spring....NOW per the quality and function of heater itself I'd give it 5 star. Easily kept a completely filled bucket at 110° F ( setting dial at 90) at an ambient temperature of 27°F. So it works perfect for what I wanted it for. Returning broken one to Amazon and reordered a replacement due to spring clip breaking but going to Auto store and purchasing longer springs for it.

Melted
This product definitely does heat up, but it is not a 'pail heater'. I bought it to put inside a container and boil a cow skull to prep it for art - like a sous vide. It wasn't quite what i expected so we tried instead wrapping it around a bucket, which is exactly what it's supposed to do - it's basically a heating belt. But it's really cheaply made - honestly, it looks like some kid's 7th-grade science project - and it started smoking and melting. Needless to say, we unplugged and scrapped it.

Warms 5 gallon crystallized honey bucket perfectly
Bought this to warm up some crystallized 5 gallon buckets of honey and it worked great!! Take your time and stir the honey every few hours. Make sure the belt is making good contact all the way around the bucket!!!!! Start at low setting and carefully learn where to set it as you go. Could be dangerous for someone with no patience and thinks that they are going to de-crystallize 5 gallons of honey very quickly….. it takes time people!!!! Go Slow

Powerful, but you will need insulation
It really helps to cover the rubber with old blankets, scrap foam, anything. A garage-sale sourced XL polar fleece pullover worked great for my purposes. Otherwise you're going to be leaking out a ton of heat and wasting electricity. It also stinks like new electronics when first run, so maybe let those fumes cook off outside for a few hours before using indoors.

Heats up very fast.
Gets hot SUPER fast! If you have it too hot, it will melt the pail. Does the job to warm a very thick cosmetic product. This however is NOT very adjustable. Just two springs and hooks. Cant adjust to a smaller pail. Only standard sized.

Variable heat settings with this heating wrap
We have not tried it to soften very stiff honey. Once we spin more frames, we will put it to use.

Works
It works. Seems to be much lower power than indicated though. I have not put an ammeter on it, yet, to confirm. Also seems that the set point temperature is not accurate. Runs alot cooler than the dial setting.
