Every Day: A Five-Year Memory Book

I have had this journal for 5 months and the binding has upheld nicely to extensive travel. The cover is very cute and the pages are, too. I browsed through many options but I love the pop of color everywhere, from the cover to the blue page edges, it is well designed to make you smile happily by looking at it. Having only 5 lines has been nice to help me be faithful to journaling, it is easy to complete daily and easy to catch up if you fall behind. I am looking forward to see my entries progress over the years, I've always enjoyed reading back into my journals so having the day's comparison over the years will be a fun and new experience. I purchased this for my 30th birthday after pondering on the changes of the last 5 years of my life. I like the ribbon bookmark, it makes finding your place easy which is not taken for granted in a 365 page book. I saw a similar journal with questions and purchased it for my husband's 25th birthday because I knew he would not mind the absence of a ribbon and would be entertained by the prospect of having a different question to answer each day as he made a nice record for our future children, however, I enjoy the freedom and versatility of not being prompted by a specific pre-determined question because I have the option of answering whatever question I choose on any given day. For variety's sake, to distinguish between years kept, I may choose the runner up to this book in 5 years but I would definitely give this one as a gift; it is wonderful and I love it! I highly recommend it!

This vibrantly colored little journal is exactly what I was looking for! The journal's size is perfect and the lines are just the right size and spacing. My handwriting is of average size and I have enough room to write one or two short-ish sentences in each entry. For journalists who loose steam easily (like myself), it's the perfect amount of space to write the day's highlights while not feeling like you need to fill the whole blank page staring back at you as you would with journaling in a typical notebook.The journal was not in any kind of protective sleeve when it arrived, but was in still perfect condition. It also had a large sticker covering the back describing the journal, but it was removed very easily and left behind no residue.If I had to find fault with this journal, it would be that that the type the headings are set in is not my favorite, but that is only a matter of personal preference. I also think it might be a bit difficult to write in the first and last few pages because of the binding, but that is a problem you will find in any hardback journal.Overall, I am very glad I purchased this journal and I think it will be a great keepsake in the future! Hopefully it lasts me all of the 5 years which can be recorded in it!

I have been writing in this journal for a little over a month now and I love it! I always liked the idea of journaling but never started one because I knew I would never keep up with writing long entries day after day. This journal is perfect for me because it lets me jot down a sentence or two with the day’s highlights and I’m done! Once I get to a whole year I look forward to being able to look back to what I was doing a year ago - love the idea of having each page dedicated to one date!I really like all the cute details - that’s what made me pick this journal over other every day journals. I love the little illustrations at the bottom of the page, and the handwritten look of the lines and dates on each page. The blue on the edges of the pages make it a cheerful little book.Like other reviews have said - do pay attention to the dimensions of the book because it is pretty small. Personally, I think the size is great because it is small enough to tuck into my purse if I’m going to be traveling, but it may be a little small for some people’s tastes.

Update: Coming up on my 5th year of using this. I love being able to look back and see what happened on the date several years back. It's easy to remember the big events, but being able to read about the small things that happen is really nice. It is very small, yes. This is for a 2-3 sentence summary of the day, not a play by play. If you want to be brief, this is perfect. I've found that even with just 2 or so sentences it helps me rememeber the day pretty clearly.Previous review: Item came just as pictured. I like that the pages are teal around the edges. The sticker on the back came off easily. It wasn't dirty on the covers like other people have mentioned.I knew it was going to be a smaller journal, but I didn't realize it was about as tall and wide as my hand. Luckily, though, there is still enough room on the page to write a good amount about your day. If you are wanting to be super wordy each day then this isn't for you.Overall a great journal. I'm excited to fill out more of the journal and see how my days compare each year.

This small book is great for a memory book. I am currently using a 5 year memory book, and am going to be finishing my fifth year soon, so I wanted to be ready with my next one. I love being able to see what I was doing on the same date in previous years. Since there are only a few lines, it isn't a lot of work to update what I did that day, and even catch up on previous days I missed. Also since the years are blank, you can skip days and use the book for a longer period of time.The book cover is softly padded. The book has a ribbon marker to help you keep your place. The cute little pictures help make it pretty without taking up a lot of space. My current calendar has quotes, and while I like quotes, they do take up space, and are annoying if the quotes don't apply to you.I like adding stickers and drawings to personalize my pages. I will be coloring the black and white drawings inside to make them more festive.

5 years on each dated page makes it easy to remind what happened 12 months ago or the previous year etc. Fairly small area to write in so makes you write only the important bits. If you want more space you will need a bigger diary, personally I think it's sufficient.

A lovely little book that I chose so I could write in a brief summary of each day and then look back over a five year period at what I did in previous years. The paper is good quality and the little illustrations at the bottom of each page give it a quirky feel. The lines are narrow so you need to write small but it suits me and my handwriting perfectly.

Great 5 year diary

Compré dos, uno para regalar y uno para mí. Es una idea original. Y es tal como se describe.Cada página está dedicada a un día, con espacio (5 líneas) para cada uno de los 5 años. De esta manera, en los siguientes años, al pasar por ese día, redescubres o recuerdas que hiciste justo un año antes, dos, tres...Las páginas son gruesas y de buena calidad.

Me lo compré para mí después de comprar uno del mismo estilo para mi pareja. Es muy bonito, tanto que lo tengo en mi mesita de noche y decora mucho. Tiene el espacio justo para escribir lo más importante del día y las hojas son de muy buena calidad. Estoy muy satisfecha.
