Obvious and tedious - do not bother
Why do I have to finish something I start..... this is poor I am afraid and much of it is obvious from the early stagesThere are much better ways of spending your time than reading this book

Enjoyable psychological thriller
Sara lives a quiet, almost reclusive life in New York. She is an artist so works from home, only venturing out to walk her 'handi-capable' dog Poppy. Bradley is a high flying executive with a string of broken hearts in his wake. The pair meet and begin a fledgling relationship but are both keeping secrets from the other? The Guilty Sister is a psychological thriller about the secrets in a new relationship.Sara is a twin and this has affected every aspect of her life. But now she has a chance to be herself, a whole, not part of a pair unless she chooses the relationship. And she chooses Bradley. He makes a huge effort with her but she is haunted by her past and her twin. The book is written from Sara's first person perspective in the past (three months ago) and present, and Bradley in the third person in the past. There are also odd chapters from other perspectives to provide external opinions on the couple. We are drip-fed little snippets of Sara being interviewed by the police in the present day but are then left guessing about the relevance to events in the past. There is mounting tension in the book as the two timelines edge closer together. I had suspicions about the secrets that Sara and Bradley are hiding but gradually found myself liking both of them and hoping for a happy ending: I won't tell you if they got one! They both have vulnerability which adds a depth to their flawed personalities so that readers can identify with them. The plot and characters wind together wonderfully and I became immersed in their story very early on. It is the kind of book where your brain keeps rushing ahead trying to join the dots to complete the picture. I think the tension was successfully created and maintained throughout the book. The Guilty Sister is an enjoyable thriller with two strong lead characters.

Twisty and tense but great!
Wow twisty and at times tense….. I wouldn’t expect anything less from Arianne Richmonde!Sara lives a solitary happy life as a graphic designer in New York City with her handi-capable dog Poppy. On one of her many walks in Central Park she catches the eye of handsome and wealthy fellow New Yorker, Bradley, and after a bit of convincing she finally gives in to a date with him which leads to a slow burning romance. However, both Sara and Bradley are hiding huge secrets from each other. Honesty in a relationship is a very important thing, so can a romance really work when both sides of a couple are lying to each other? After reading “The Newly Weds” earlier in the year by Arianne Richmond I knew I would be in for a treat reading this new offering and I was not wrong. I didn’t quite trust either of the main characters from the beginning and I was correct in thinking this. I admit I did guess the main twist at just over halfway through (at the Michelin starred restaurant with the red dress) however this did not, in any way, ruin the rest of the book for me as although it worked out that I was right, I wanted to read on just to make sure I was correct. Whilst reading this there were so many times when my head was spinning, and I honestly didn’t know who to trust and which way was up which was just brilliant. If you want a twisty, tense suspenseful psychological thriller then look no further than this book! I highly recommend it. I look forward to reading future books by Arianne Richmonde.Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture and Arianne Richmonde for my advanced reading copy. Due out 19th October 2021.

Intriguing and mind-blowing!
I have always enjoyed this author's previous books. This latest work is another one of her must read if you are a big fan of mystery thrillers. We are introduced to one of the main characters, Sara who has a handicapable dog. She meets Bradley who looks like the perfect guy: successful and handsome. There are a lot of layers to this pair both are secretive and mysterious, could it be that they lie a lot too?I struggled to like Bradley because he seems too smooth and almost too perfect. Sara is emotionally detached with her own family especially her twin sister Cece.Although I found the first quarter of the book a bit slow it piqued my interest. I persevered and was subsequently rewarded with a mind-blowing final chapter. I had an inkling about Sara's personality and her secrets but was not entirely sure.I give credit to the author who made this book totally unpredictable. I sure didn't know what was coming and if you want to find out the big surprise then you better read this jack-in-the-box tale.

Twists and turns galore
Wow, what a great topsy-turvy book full of plot twists and turns. Sara, a book cover designer meets Bradley in Central Park whilst walking her dog Poppy Delight. They fall for each other but she fails to tell him about her twin sister Cecilia, a successful Instagram Influencer until Cecilia says she wants to meet him. And then Cecilia goes missing, Sara soon becomes under suspicion, not realising that Bradley is also keeping secrets from her. Is anybody who they claim to be. With social media does anybody live the life they claim too. How easy is it to embellish the truth. Many thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for the opportunity to read this advanced copy in exchange for my honest review

Brilliant Storyline
What a great storyline, I was pleasantly surprised by the ending what a twist. There are 2 identical twins one is quiet and has a handicapped dog the other who is outgoing and loves posting on social media. When Bradley becomes the boyfriend of one of the sisters the other goes about trying to destroy it.They had suffered a family tradegy with the loss of their parents which had a major impact on one of the twin and what happened next.I loved this book. The ending wasn't what i expected it to be. Read it and find out what happened.
