Poison Oak and Ivy Pre Contact Ivy X 4 Oz Solution (1 Bottle)

I've been using it for many years now and it works great!!! ... you just need to remember to put it on before your acctivity! :)Once, we got pouonded by overgrown poison oak bushes on a bike ride for over 4 miles! We couldn't get to a shower for several hours! I was really worried for my 10 year old daughter, but this thing really worked great protecting us! Not one speck of rash at all! Love this, ... we'll not ride without this on!

It works! My back yard is unfortunately loaded with poison ivy, so I decided to get to work and pull out, chop and get rid of as much as I could. I applied the Ivy Block stuff on my arms--also wore long sleeves--putting extra on my wrists and hands--also wore gardening gloves. I spread some on my neck, face and ears. After 3 days of heavy work, I'm happy to report that I didn't break out once on the areas treated. I did neglect my head (hair), so I recommend wearing a hat. I didn't realize that I did brush up against some leaves that were hanging from a pine tree and broke out on my scalp, but that's the one area I neglected to treat. Live and learn. The stuff does work. It's not sticky or oily or anything unpleasant like that. It dries really fast and is easy to wash off. Worth the extra 5-10 minutes to put on.

This product is great for poison ivy or poison oak. I recommend this over other products. I purchased this for my Son as nothing seemed to help, this did.

The ads say this closes the pores to prevent the poison oils from getting in your skin. The ingredients are similar to those products that dissolve the poison oils. I won't question it too much, however, because I am very allergic to poison ivy and have vine upon vine on the property edge and after applying this product, I have not had any allergic reactions from PI. Worth a try.

I am the most allergic person on the planet when it comes to poison ivy and I live out in the country surrounded by the stuff .this product is great it gives me an extra layer of protection and more time to remove oils from my skin before breaking out .....the peace of mind is priceless to me and worth every penny I spent on it have already bought more and I'm a customer for life for sure .I love the woods and don't go in without my ivyx.

I have avoided pruning back branches and shrubbery in my far backyard for several years now due to poison ivy and possibly sumac. I knew I had to do something to help prevent me getting hit with the poison ivy. I found this and I will never be without it again! It had a gel-consistency, goes on smooth and evenly, dries instantly and is invisible. You can't tell you have it on. I was able to spend an hour trimming, dragging, lifting, etc. years of overgrowth. When I was done, I went inside to shower. The film turned into a slippery coating and rinsed off easily. I also washed with a post-contact wash just to be on the safe side. I was THRILLED when I woke up the next morning without a single dot of poison ivy on me!! I used it again last night before mowing the grass back there and again...not a single itchy bump anywhere! I can't recommend this enough!

For minor contact dermatitis of Poison Oak and Ivy it is "ok" but not a life saver.For more serious attacks, or if it has turned into a solid red area from scratching, this won't help much. Try taking both H1 and H2 histamine inhibitors, such as Benadryl (Diphenhydramine) + Pepcid (famotidine) [note both are over the counter and I am NOT a doctor, just mentioning].Still, for minor itching/rashes this seems to help a bit.

This solution helps me from getting poison ivy, when I know I am going to come into contact with it at the back of my property, not matter how many precautions I take. Wish it was more of a gel for easier application - the liquid is easy to spill and hard to see because it looks like water. I will not be without this product anytime of year, as I can get exposed to Poison Ivy year round in my area. Superb product!
