Fantastic cordless vacuum for hardwood floors!
UPDATE: April 29, 2024 and it's still going strong! I've updated my original 4/5 to 5/5, if not at least a solid 4.0-4.5 out of 5.My original review poked some holes here and there, to help others consider some of the things one would need to be mindful of.First, is that its performance is mediocre still on carpet. And don't expect it to do too hot at all with high pile carpeting or rugs. But, if you have a low profile rug or runner, it'll do fine with getting most of it.Battery life I feel is still pretty respectable. You won't be able to get all of the house at once, especially if we're talking around or more than 800² feet of space - space that has been cleared of all obstacles, with flooring that's either hardwood, floating flooring, or linoleum surface. But you can get close. My original review remarked that this stick vacuum was 'just above competent for hardwood floors' and that's hardly the case. This thing is EXCELLENT for hardwood floors for picking up dry spills, cat hair and whiskers, general dirt/debris, even the paper pellet cat litter, which each pellet is at least 1/4" above the floor when laying flat. Some things you might have to do a second pass over from time to time. But this thing is so light, it's hardly a bother.I'm vacuuming around 400-500² feet of space, and I have to be actively mindful of the power button to turn it off as I move things about to vacuum underneath. If you just leave it running whenever you place it down to move something aside, then vacuum and again set it down without turning it off.... well, my point is, those 20-25 seconds each time can add up and eat into your usable time before you know it.Always, always place it back on the charger after each use. Not that I'm suggesting that if you do a brief vacuum, you'll be left hanging next time you need it. But any length of vacuuming after I'd say, 5 minutes of running time, and I'd say it needs to be back on the charger.Speaking of which... The charger IS a bit flimsy, you cannot, under no circumstances yank on this thing without it eventually failing. It's a pretty slender barrel, compared to most out there, and the housing where the plug terminates, while kinda solid, could be better... So long as you always grip the housing, and not the cable itself, whenever you go to connect or disconnect to the vacuum, then it should last you a good while. The day Shark decides to maybe make this somehow a wireless charging matter, or a pin contact on a stand (Like how many game controllers have, in order to charge without the need to plug it in), Shark would have a winner here with that capability. Charging still takes several hours, I've never timed it, but I'd say 3-3.5hrs from zero to full sounds about right. The stand. I like it. At first, I wished it had a heavier base, but honestly? Completely unnecessary. So long as you understand to feed the bottom of the vacuum first, into the stand's tray - then push upright the top to where the stem latches, you should have no problem! Same with detaching it, just simply in reverse, ensuring to put downward pressure from the top, to keep the head of the vacuum securely planted onto the stand/floor - all the while pulling the vacuum towards you to unlatch it, the simply lift once the stem is no longer attached. I hope that made sense.Overall all, I'm more and more pleased with this purchase. I WILL have to get another vacuum with rollers and wall power for my carpets and shag rugs, the latter always being a pain anyways to clean. But everything else? This thing is fantastic. I already intend on getting another, just for more convenience and combined run time. Thanks for reading!_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ORIGINAL REVIEW: I'd rate it closer to a 3.5 but I'm comfortable with giving it a 4, as it met my expectations.Get this, ONLY if you have hard surfaces you'll be using it on.Very, VERY low pile materials that you plan to vacuum with just the attachments and not the main head attachment (cat tree, chair cushions to some extent, etc.) If you plan to use it on carpet, forget about it. It has only enough suction to be just above competent for hardwood floors.I got this cause I have hardwood floors with some cat hair and tracked in dust. I wanted a cordless and light weight. This does the job just fine.I am disappointed in the runtime. 30 minutes running without a break, but I may not have been working from a full charge. Make sure to have everything cleared out of the way to make the most of your cleaning session.I was mistaken in thinking this had the leads make contact to the base for the purpose of charging. It's just a loose wire with AC adapter. Hoped for a more sleeker solution.Recommend gluing some weights to the underside of the base stand to better keep it in place when placing/removing the vacuum from the stand.

I really love this vacuum for wood flooring and linoleum
I really like the size its so compact. Its a powerful little machine. Love that the start button doesn’t have to be held the whole time you’re using it. It has its own stand bery compact, easy to use. Not good cleaning the dogs bed or carpets though. Its my only issue with it. Otherwise I love it. Fits easily under most things for cleaning. The vacuum brush isn’t heavy duty but if you’re using it on tile, hardwood or linoleum its fantastic.

Pretty good for a simple floor vacuum
It’s not the strongest suction but is great for a quick clean up. I bought it for our motorhome and it works well for that. I’ve used it to clean my car and was impressed. For the money it’s pretty good.

Great for hard floors in my tiny house!
Very quiet, great suction, easy to operate, charges quickly, and holds a charge well. I switched from Dyson to Shark vacuums in 2014 and have been very happy with them, so didn't hesitate to purchase this vacuum refurbished in June 2024, fully aware that it was discontinued. In my opinion, it is a very underrated Shark product, especially for small spaces such as my tiny house, and I have found it more than adequate to keep my hard floors clean. It is not intended for use on carpet, though it does work on very low pile rugs. It is lightweight with a small footprint, effective and easy to use.
