The listing on Amazon was deceptive as it provided no size reference. This is a VERY small masher. the attached photo shows it beside a standard tea spoon. With that said it is excellent quality. I use it mostly for mashing bananas for banana bread which it does well. I have also mashed potatoes with it and it's too small unless you quarter full size (read Maine or Idaho) potatoes before cooking. I didn't return the masher as it works well for my primary purpose.

When I switched to pans with a nonstick cooking surface, I couldn't use my favorite metal masher that I had been using for 25+years. I tried several other nylon mashers, I just wasn't happy with them - food got stuck, potatoes were 'heavy'. I came across this, so happy I ordered it! It's identical in feel, the mashing head is the same, the handle is a great height. Buy it!

I bought this to replace my old bean masher. I like that the openings on these are small enough to prevent lumps.

Seems a lil flimsy we'll see how long it lasts. It feels like the handle will eventually Snap in two....

On first seeing this masher I thought it looked good but after 3/4 times of using it it has started to bend and the handle top is loose but even worse than that is the metal hanger on the end which if like me I press down on the top of the masher and this metal digs right in your hand I have to cover it with a tea towel to protect my hand, needless to say it is now safely in the bin.

For the price it is amazing value for money. Delivery was not too bad at all. Nice to hold. Cannot comment on heat resistance as so far haven’t used it other than to mash potatoes and no problems at all to date.Would definitely recommend

Needed new masher for new pots so that it didn’t scratch, this is perfect for non stick pans

Works well at mashing. The handle is really hard on the hand, it has a hook in the end which when you’re pushing down on it, really hurts.

I bought this item on June 27th to be used in our twice weekly lunch club for 30/36 over 70s. It has been used about twenty times to mash potatoes or carrot and turnip and last week it broke. The head came clean of the long handle. I’m really disappointed as it looked a sturdy item
