So nearly brilliant
This Cole & Mason herb shaker pot thing is so close to being brilliant. It is basically one acrylic (the first issue - for the price, I so, so would have preferred it be glass) pot with 5 separate internal segments that you can fill with different herbs and spices. We received the herbs version which comes with Basil, Oregano, Parsley, Rosemary and Thyme - we don't like all of them so it's super easy to empty one segment out and re-fill it with something else. (In our case, we're replacing the Thyme with Dill.)Re-filling it was easy enough, but it shows it being done with a funnel - ours didn't come with that, so I don't know if it was missing of if it's nor included. Just something to bear in mind. The 5 segments are completely separate so there's no worry about the various contents mixing at all. You get absolute boat-loads, too, so it'll last forever. Incidentally, you can also buy a Spices version (that has chilli flakes and turmeric, etc) and you can buy an empty one so you can fill it with your own selection. You get some sticky white labels to stick to the various segments but I don't like the look of it so I've just knocked up a couple of embossed Dymo labels - white text on black labels - which makes it look all fancy coffee-shoppish, which I love. It's probably way too expensive for what it is, to be honest, but it's such a clever thing, especially if you're pushed for space. If there are just 5 (or 10) herbs and spices you use, you can fit them all into one or two of these and save yourself an awful lot of space. So, aye, there are some issues, and it's probably too expensive, but it's such a lovely thing, I couldn't deduct a star.

Convenient space saver ideal for travel
If you don't have space for a spice rack or individual containers are taking up to much space then this is very convenient. At 19.5cm tall, with a 6.4cm diameter base and 8cm diameter top the container should fit easily in a cupboard and holds 5 different herbs or spices. It has a locked lid and then simply twist the stainless steel top lid to which clicks to the different positions. Moving the lid does move the inside selector which you can then slide from pour to shake or close. You can remove the lid and add herbs to top the container up, if you don't have a funnel its easy to make one from paper. It comes with white stick on labels should you want to change what's in the container although the container wont look as nice with white labels stuck on, which will get grubby over time. Shame they didn't include a selection of black pre-printed labels with alternative herb names so it matches the existing ones and looks neater. Each container can fit a standard spice jar for easy top up.I often grab a selection of herbs so this is very convenient having the one container with a selection of Mediterranean herbs. It would also be good for travelling, camping with space being a premium in motorhomes, or camper vans. No issues with the quality, a nice thick plastic body and solid feeling lid which keeps the herbs dry and as fresh as possible, easy to clean and refill, comes in a branded Cole & Mason box.

Substantial Space Saving Herb and Spice Jar
If you are anything like me, you will have a spice rack full of jars which take up quite a bit of space; this won't replace that, after all it is for a selection of five, but it is a great way to keep five herbs or spices that often complement each other together in one place. At nearly 20 cm high and at 8cm wide (at the widest point), this is a substantial sized jar. It looks good, and feels nice quality, it also gives the choice of holes for sprinkling, or pouring. The box came a little dented in one corner, but this didn't damage the item inside, it just would have spoiled the appearance if giving it as a gift; this probably wouldn't be the case for every delivery however. The named of the five herbs that were included are printed above each chamber, and you get some stickers so that you can write your own names; that is a nice idea, but given the overall quality of the product, it seems a little cheap. It would have been far better to include pre-printed labels in the same font, probably on black, of some of the common herbs and spices. Also, the video shows them refilling the jar using a funnel, but this is not included, you have to pay extra for it. I think that this isn't bad value for money, but the inclusion of the funnel and pre-printed labels would have made this a five star product instead of a four in my opinion.

I love it!
It’s robust, lightweight, and durable. Very easy to use and switch between different spices. The seal is airtight and secure and the holes are a perfect size for use at the dinner table and whilst cooking. It can take a while for them to come out using the three little holes though, especially when the shaker’s full and the herbs are a slightly large grind. Each compartment caries a good amount and lasts a long while before needing to be refilled as well. The glass is perfectly clear and feels sturdy. Super easy to clean and not prone to scratches. It doesn’t retain a smell or taste from the herbs after being washed. The herbs that are included are a huge plus!I was tempted to deduct a star as the lid was initially difficult to remove but now its seems to have loosened so maybe it's just that first opening that's difficult. Quite a good idea and one that works well and looks great in the kitchen so I Would be happy to recommend. If this review helped, please click on the ‘helpful’ button to let others know! Thanks ツ
