Aspirational and Infomative
This beautifully designed book is a the perfect combination of aspirational life style and practical entertaining information. The recipes sound delicious (haven't had time yet to try them, but have a dozen bookmarked to do so soon) and are organized by season and with suggested complete menus. The photography and book layout is a pleasure to look at.

An entertaining read for a very specific type of cuisine.
Upon initially paging through this book, you may wonder where the recipes are - as a bulk of the beginning is dedicated to all manner of (recipe-less) text - educating the reader on the culture, region, history of Tuscany as well as musings on art?! Rest assured, the book contains plenty of recipes. If you are the type that just wants to jump in and get cooking, skip the beginning. Here is what we made from the book:• Trofie with Pesto and Cherry Tomatoes •• Pink Wink cocktail •Trofie are short twists of pasta from Liguria. Because we need to keep things free of gluten, our pasta options are more limited. Thankfully, we found something suitable at our local grocery store. This is your standard-issue pesto recipe (basil, pine nuts, garlic, Parmesan and olive oil) tossed with cherry tomatoes. Let’s talk about that cocktail! It contains just three ingredients: Prosecco, San Pellegrino Pompelmo and Campari. This is a great batch cocktail for a backyard party, friendly gathering or celebratory event.
