Takes some practice, but has paid for itself 3 times over!!
There are a number of water retrievers on the market, all with similar designs. The QOGiR retriever does an excellent job and has already pulled 5 discs from a watery grave! Well worth it!It does take a little practice. Also (IMPORTANT) be sure you tie-off the end of the rope! 36' goes quick and you don't want to go fishing for the retriever and the discs! The only con I can speak of is the open hooks sometime get caught on my gunk in the water than I would like. I wonder if a closed system (like Dynamic Discs Golden Retriever) would have less of this problem. In one lake I did get stuck on rocks because of the open hooks. Not the end of the world, but worth noting if this pushes you to a different style of water retriever.LEAVE NO DISC BEHIND!

Sections spin...not good.
The media could not be loaded. The hook would work if the sections didn't spin so easily. Can't grab a disc out of the water and cuz the pole section spins and it goes off the hook as a result. Tried to show this in the video clip. I'm not sure if it's supposed to do that but makes it essentially useless for water grabs. Sections need to be tighter. Will have to return unfortunately. Dangit!

The more I've used it, the more I love it
Not perfect, but proper care goes a long way, the pole holds water, so make sure to remove the yellow handle and place it upright to allow water to drain out. Best method I use, fully extend the pole after use and wipe it down and then let it air dry overnight to prevent corrosion. On the use side, this thing has saved me numerous times and saved a few other disks besides my own as well. The catcher works well, also I find the more you use it, the more you notice that you can feel the bottom of a lake or stream and can tell when you've caught a disk.

Water attachment won't thread on
The water attachment won't thread on by hand. Seller sent a replacement and same problem. Threads appear to be the wrong pitch

Works well when you know where your disc is.
I purchased this device because I kept throwing discs in the water at my local course. This works excellent to get the discs back. I have found that it works best if you can see your disc in the water. If you are searching blindly in the water it works as well as any other method, which is to say not super well.

Really well thought out and built.
QOGIR Really came through with this one! We’ve all thrown a disc into water… and it’s usually to far out to just walk out and get it. That’s where this retriever comes in handy! Just unravel the chord, toss it out and pull it in.They’ve designed it so anyone can use it and it’s almost impossible not to catch it on the first try.Super strong chord, collapsible, portable and easy to use. I can’t find anything about it that I disliked. Everyone should have one in their bag!And at this price… there’s no reason not to!Thanks for another amazing product!!Hoping you guys put out a pole retriever next for those discs that get stuck up in the trees!!

Well made Works great and the sooner you get one the more you save.
Works great. Well made and for 30 bucks is a deal because it saves me money every time I use it. If your a gifted disc golf and that gift is like mine of finding the water and odd ways to land in pine trees this helps the mind find a little comfort to let those discs rip. The birds will appreciate waking up not seeing your favorite distance driver wedged above their nest and you will not look like the town nutjob jumping into a pond to save your favorite well-seasoned disc that is beat in to perfection but the others in the park don' tunderstand that because you just jumped in a lake for a "frisbee" in 63 degree weather.I was apprehensive and my ego did not want to admit that I needed one of these but having it is great and I wish I had done it earlier when I first started it would of paid off 10 fold by now.

Saves Money!
Used it the first time and saved my disc as well as two for other people. Saved us all some money during that round. Has a far reach into the lake.
