Q: Does it arrive ready to go? Can I order this and when its delivered to the recipient, it scares them without me having to do anything to set it up?

It's all ready to go. They open the box and the spider pops out.

Q: Spider loose when package opened. How is it supposed to work?

Spider isn’t loose, he’s on a tether. When lid is opened he springs out across the lid. The unsuspecting person WILL scream and drop the box. As the lid is closed spider returns to box.

Q: Is the cardboard box that it arrives in unmarked?

My spider came in a plain unmarked wooden box. The lid slides forward and the spider pops out. It is so much fun to watch a person open it and scream. Trust me...the opener WILL scream and throw the box down.
