My daughter plays Karate and BJJ- she recently got braces and looking for a new mouth guard. This product protects both top and bottom braces, and she says it is really comfortable. This might be big for youth. My daughter is 13, but she is 5"8 so pretty much adult size development. You don't have to mold this, just throw in your mouth and you are ready to go!

My son uses these because he has braces on both the upper and lower parts of his mouth. We like these because as a wrestler, he’s not allowed to have anything sticking out of his mouth. We have never had his braces cut his mouth when using these mouthguards. he does say that it makes it a little harder to breathe, but nothing that he can’t handle in a match. I would highly recommend these my mouthguards for anyone who wears braces and is in a contact sport.
