Great alternative to buying a new recliner just cause yours doesn’t swivel. Have a leather recliner that belonged to my mother, and I did not want to part with. Needed it to swivel so I could turn towards family/friends sitting in the room. This swivel solved the problem! Good quality and construction. My recliner did not have the standard base, so I had to modify it with a plywood base (fairly easy — see pics).

Fit perfectly on my nursery recliner. The 4 holes matched up on point. Did not come with extra screws but that’s okay. Now my recliner feels much more sturdy and reliable. The noise level is very quiet. Did not come with instructions but not needed. Thanks to this seller for a good price of $48 and to Amazon for delivering it in 2 days.

Great solution to turn a rocker into a swivel chair. Bought this for an old but very comfortable high back rocker that allows for the legs rest to extend. But wanted the ability to swivel in the family room to watch TV but also swivel to talk to someone sitting on the couch. Works great. Every rocker is different. I had to add two short 2x4's to the frame in order to attach the swivel securely. Worked perfect. Only raised the rocker about 1 1/2 inches. So depending on the fabric of your rocker you may see the black swivel base when seated on a couch at a distance. For me it wasn't a problem. This is very sturdy and was way better than spending hundreds to buy a swivel rocker when this one was still in great shape

This was exactly what we needed for our recliner. The original base recliner we needed was 27", this one was 25.5", but it still worked perfectly. It is sturdier than the original one and was easy to screw in. I am extremely happy with this purchase.

With purchased of added wood base, nuts and bolts, it installed fairly easy and looks good. Only complaint is that the feel is unstable even tho it is not. Could be the chair

Really solid construction. In my application I was able to replace the rocker/recliner chair's horizontal steel legs, with roughly 16X20 piece of 3/4" plywood base to the frame and bolt the to the swivel base to the plywood. I was careful to determine the correct balance point on my rocker and chose to center the swivel just slightly (1") toward the rear to provide extra stability when rocking/reclining; too little or too much can present stability issues or compromise the rocking function. Also, don't cheap out and use 2X4's (too thick and not strong enough) and be sure to use at least 3/4" ply. Result - perfectly balanced and stable, net increase in height of 1/4" in my application. I like the smooth action, build quality and semi-hard plastic feet to protect hardwood floors. only gripe is that mounting holes are designed for carriage bolts but apparently metric has SAE heads don't fit without filing.

I was a worried that 25.5" vs 27" was going to be an issue - it is not. This is actually better built than the OEM part on my Jackson Catnapper 5000 recliner. Took all of 15 minutes to swap out. Easy peasy. I always look at reviews - so i figured it was my turn to leave one.

Looks and works as advertised. Heavy duty, and very smooth swivel.

Converted a rocking chair into a swivel rocker with this base. Good quality metal base with large mounting plate. Installation was very simple even without any instructions (used 1/4 inch diameter stove bolts with flat washers and lock washers). Very study and works great. Well worth the money spent and saved on buying a new chair.
