Best possible setup to eliminate remotes! (Stop the remote Bandits in your house!)
The media could not be loaded. Â Having enjoyed the Sideclick remote for the Amazon Fire TV (used it with both the stick and the box, 5-stars for both applications), I decided it was high time to end the situation of having a TV remote, sound bar remote, and Roku remote in my bedroom. My toddler, now 4 (was 3 in my previous review) still has this great fascination with remotes =-) so the less of them hanging around the better. I include all this, as these days people are skeptical of emphatically positive online reviews. However, I can assure you I am in fact no shill (don't think shills make videos while wearing ugly socks.. hope my wife doesn't see this), this product is legitimately one of the best thing's I've ever purchased tech wise when it comes to value, quality and ease of use and it helps with my toddler remote bandit! The packaging is well done, and easy to open, the device is very simple to install and fits flush solidly with the Roku remote. The remote fits into the bracket securely without being hard to install (was able to remove and replace it while filming the review while still holding the phone).Programming is so easy, I actually do it one handed on my counter in the video review, I mean it.. can't get much easier than that. The IR range is equivalent to my normal remotes, haven't ever had an issue, and battery life has been superb so far, haven't replaced the stock set of batteries in my Fire TV sideclick (which is the same device just a different bracket) and I've owned it for several months of daily use. This product is a great example of a start-up that managed their product development team, marketing team, and QA teams very well, and it resulted in a product I've recommended at work, and to family members (just purchased another Fire TV side click for my parents today). If they can tempt me to make a video review (my first ever) while in my socks eating my breakfast, it's probably a pretty good product.Stop the remote bandits in your house today! Get a sideclick =-)

Best Roku accessory; Sturdy
This is a great product. I was tired of using three remotes in my living room. It's easy to snap to the Roku remote and even easier to program. The range is good and doesn't require weird angles for adjusting my sound bar. I just wish there were an extra button or two. If a new model comes out with at least one extra button I will buy it in a heartbeat. My buttons are setup below from top to bottom.- TV power- Sound bar volume up (also turns it on)- Sound bar volume down- TV arrow right (this also acts as "select" on my TV)- TV arrow down- TV menu (allows me to navigate the long way to different inputs and sleep timer. This is why I'd like at least one more button.)- Sound bar optical input- Sound bar Bluetooth inputIf my sound bar would cycle through inputs rather than have a specific IR function for each, then I guess I could gain back the extra button I want. I may purchase another Sideclick for my bedroom in the future.1/31/2018:I forgot this was in my lap and when I stood up and turned I kicked it pretty hard for being an accident. It flew away from me, hitting the floor and sliding until it smashed a 1" lip with a metal guard. The Roku remote only slid a small amount out of the clip, but was still held in place with plenty of force. I was worried when I saw the power and volume buttons of the Sideclick depressed. It turned out the casing by the IR sensor popped open. I popped it back in easily and everything was fine. This thing is pretty sturdy.

Simple solution
Stumbled across this in an article when researching cord cutting strategies. I have a Roku Ultra and have struggled with having to use a universal remote to turn on my TV and sound bar. This is a genius and simple idea, and it allows you to continue using the RF Roku remote and hide the box out of site. It takes your universal, and attaches it to the Roku remote. It was super easy to program and works like a charm. I have no problem at all with how it "feels in your hand". The other advantage is when my mother-in-law comes over to babysit, she can figure out the TV much easier than my Harmony remote. The Cons: It does cover the headphone jack, but in my living room I don't really use that feature much. Also, it only uses single function buttons. So, that means the power button turns the tv on only. I had to program the extra A button to turn my sound bar off and on. Not the worst thing in the world, but someone I'd love to see in a future model. For any advanced navigation on the TV I'll need to pull out the original remote, but 90% of the time this thing gets the job done.

On major flaw for me.
This guy's pretty neat except for one major flaw. It covers the audio jack. I use the headphones with my Roku often, so I hate that I can't when this thing is on the remote. I only wanted power. volume and input anyway, so I wonder if they'll ever make one that a bit smaller and still allows access to the jack? Oh well. To bad Roku is missing the boat on this with their own remotes.

I hear it's great --if it works with your older equipment.
I wanted to love this Sideclick for my Roku Streaming Stick+, but I'm returning it the same day I received it. I have a 4 year-old LG HDTV, a 2 year old LG soundbar, a 3 year old Samsung soundbar, and a 5 year old Sony blu ray player. The Sideclick would not "pair" with any of them.I followed all of the in package and online instructions from Sideclick, including putting fresh batteries in all my older remotes; nothing worked. There's apparently no database available for programming or updating my older remotes --or this brand new Sideclick-- to enable them all to pair, so that essentially makes the Sideclick a $20 paperweight in my house.BE ADVISED that Sideclick will NOT PAIR with RF or blue tooth remotes; it will work only with IR remotes. NOTE the third bullet point in the item description's fine print: "Easy to program using IR learning technology...." (Based on the "testing" behaviors of my older remotes, I'd have sworn they are IR, but the Sideclick simply did not "learn" from them. So....back to the seller it goes. Darn it.)

Excellent, easy to set up and looks good on NOWTV remote.
Bought this for my NOWTV remote (I use the smart box) so that I could control the TV on one remote. Excellent product, very easy to set up, looks good when attached and saves having to switch between remotes. Definitely recommend this to anyone who uses NOWTV for their TV viewing.

Simple and works
Very easy to set up, works perfectly - only minor criticism is the limited number of buttons limits the functions, but more buttons would make it bigger so worth the loss. A great idea, and it works!

Easily one of the best purchases this year!!!
Yep this is a must have if you want to simplify your life and you don’t own the latest Roku with the volume control. Worth the money and clips to the side nicely. Simple to setup and easy to use.

Need another remote to program
Love this. Can't program it without the original remote, but I had a universal that I could use.
