I found this foam to exceed expectations for lining a Pelican case. It's firm, pretty easy to cut with a electric carving knife. It also has no smell. Its soft and non abrasive but firm enough for good padding. I bought the 3 inch thick stuff and have a lot left over and plan to use on a seat cushion as well, just sitting on it, its very comfortable. Also well packed. I have no complaints. Good stuff, fair price.

I had to buy replacement foam for 2 camera cases. The foam they came with was ‘pluck foam’ with hundreds of slots cut in it. Completely useless stuff with zero structural integrity. This material is an excellent replacement.I recommend this item and the seller.

There are many possible uses for high density foam. I use it to store / transport astronomy equipment in hard cases. This requires that each item be traced over the foam and the foam cut with a hot foam knife.Typically, dense memory foam works best. This foam product is dense, plush and quickly returns to its original volume. It is easy to work with and feels high quality. Overall, I like the product and am considering purchasing more of it. Given the 24" x 72" surface area, this product offers a good value.
