Black Knight: Royal Elite, Book 4

Green and her knight
This start as a sweet, cute , toddler friendship and suddenly morphes into a very toxic obsessive and possessive lack of relationships, very confusing... For everything to finally starting making sense when a weird secret is revealed. This story is one of my favourites because tackles bulimia, self harming , body dysmorphia, alcohol addiction, substance use and suicidal thoughts and behaviour. I think it's a great story for teenagers: with so many healthy messages and a beautiful happy ending.

Not For The Faint-hearted 💔
This is my very first read and listen from Ms. Kent. I received an audiobook giveaway through Facebook Shane East official fan group Shaneiaks.Black Knight is book 4 of the Royal Elite Series and can be read on its own. I did not read the previous books from the series and I do not feel I missed anything jumping into this book. I did not know what to expect in terms of writing style but I am aware of the author’s note on the ebook that she wrote darker stories that can be upsetting and disturbing. And I agreed with the author that this book is not for the faint of heart, it takes on a lot of triggers: depression, eating disorder and suicide to name a few. I wish the author’s note is included in the audiobook too.Personally young adult, high school bully romance is not my go to book. My only reason I chose this book was because it was narrated by my favourite narrator Shane East. New-to-me narrator Keira Stevens and Mr. East narrations were exceptionally good. They were so good that I find it harder to listen to Chapter 19 to 20, I had to take a pause before continuing with this book.Overall you will enjoy this book if you’re into YA, HS bully romance and you don’t find dark stories with triggers upsetting. This is a well-written story by Ms. Kent.

Wow, wow
I loved, loved this story. I read the story in one period, I could not stop till I finished. The dynamics of the main characters was written superbly and kept you guessing what the outcome would be.The story was full of intrigue, suspense, love, hate and steamy and so much. One moment you loved dander and the next I did not understand what he was trying to achieve with Kimberly. And I even cried for Kimberly and the bullying, emotional abuse and her negative relationship with her mother . These real life issues that people deal with, ie the lack of self worth, self esteem and body image was written so well I got very upset regarding what she was dealing with.If you love a story that is well written and deals with real life issues, I would definitely recommend this book. I basically would recommend the whole series, they were all written with fantastic characters great story themes and the issues each individual was dealing with as well as the relationships between themselves and the support they provided each other.I applaud the author of this series and I will definitely look at other stories they have written know that I have read this series.

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Tropes: Friends-ememies-lovers | Dark romance | Bully romance | Possessive MMC | Dual POV | Fast pace | Spicy | High school settingBlack Knight is Kimberly and Xander's story, and we finally have the answers to why Xander despises Kim while simultaneously obsesses over her. They used to be childhood best friends, but an incident marked them as enemies. Xander won't forgive Kim and plans to make her life hell, so he starts tormenting and bullying her. The plot twist in Black Knight took me off guard, and it explains Xander's hate towards Kim in the previous book.Overall, it is an entertaining read, well-developed but a bit fast-paced for my taste. I liked and connected with the main characters easily. I can't wait to read Ronan and Teal's book, because I love a marriage of convenience trope.

Very interesting
I loved this book and I loved Kim and Xander.Xander is a person in self destruction because he spends all his time hating his childhood friend. He is not bad in general but does have a dark side which seems to have come out from one event in his past. It was interesting to find this out and to yet again read about the others we the same. Starting the next book the minute I've read the downloaded bonus scene.I would absolutely read this book again.

I Absolutely Love Xander and Kimberly!!
Black Knight by Rina Kent is a captivating and emotionally charged book that will leave you breathless. This high school bully romance delves into the complexities of friendship, love, and mental health, creating a story that is both heart-wrenching and beautiful. With its well-developed characters and thought-provoking themes, it is a must-read for fans of the genre.Kimberly and Xander's relationship is a rollercoaster ride from start to finish. They go from being best friends to bitter enemies, and the tension between them is palpable. Rina Kent expertly portrays their complicated dynamic, showcasing the depths of their emotions and the struggles they face. Xander, with his heartbreakingly beautiful exterior and cruel demeanor, is a character that you can't help but be drawn to. Kimberly, on the other hand, hides her true self behind a facade of fakeness, making her a character that you root for from the very beginning. One of the standout aspects of Black Knight is the found family dynamic within the Royal Elite group. The banter and camaraderie among the characters, particularly the boys on the UK high school "football" team, is both entertaining and heartwarming. The way they push each other to confront their true feelings and admit the truth is truly epic. Ronan, Cole, and Aiden play crucial roles in the story, witnessing the depth of Xander's love for Kimberly and the destructive path he takes to deny it.The exploration of mental health in this book is both raw and important. Xander's alcoholism and Kimberly's struggles with self-esteem and bulimia are portrayed with sensitivity and depth. The impact of absent parents and negative family dynamics on their mental well-being is powerfully depicted. The focus on healing and the emphasis on the importance of seeking help are crucial elements of the story that add depth and authenticity. The ending of Black Knight, with its focus on mental health, is both poignant and necessary. Seeing both Kimberly and Xander prioritize their healing and growth is a powerful message that resonates long after finishing the book. The hope for a future book featuring this group of friends and their small children, particularly Xander with a daughter, is something that readers will undoubtedly cherish. In conclusion, Black Knight is a five-star read that will leave you emotionally invested and deeply moved. Rina Kent has crafted a story that explores the complexities of friendship, love, and mental health with great care and sensitivity. The characters are well-developed, the writing is engaging, and the themes are thought-provoking. If you enjoy high school bully romances with depth and emotional intensity, this book is a must-read.

Lacrime e Sangue
