Refreshling easy to use camera that's always ready for the shot
Used a DSLR for a while now but it always takes a long time to auto focus and often has annoyances such as hunting for focus point or incorrect settings/lens selected. This definitely doesn't have those problems as its point and shoot, very simply, does have a good range of options/configurations and very good accessory bundle with 2 batteries.I don’t really buy in to the specs of resolution and megapixels of camera’s as they are less important of a spec to me as long as they are large enough for prints/displaying on full HD monitors and the lens/image processing is good etc.I’ve took some photos and videos on both my high end DSLR with a prime lens and this and in normal daylight it fares pretty well, see attached photo for rough comparison, zoomed in about 60% and it’s still a pretty decent, sharp image.Night-time image quality isn't nearly as good as a DSLR as it was quite noisy in my opinion, don’t think it handles high ISO well so good lighting is the way to go.Videos have all been in focus and more importantly to me, useable.Overall like it due to the simplicity of use, point and shoot and never a image or video that's out of focus or just naff.

Shockingly bad camera AVOID!!!
There seem to be a lot of positive reviews of this camera which is why I decided to take a chance and purchase this to record home videos. I was expecting a cheaply made video camera which at least captured 1080p video if not the advertised 4K.What I received was a decently put together camera, the accessories surprised. But the actually quality of the video captured was terrible. Definitely not 4K and not even 1080p, if I had to guess I’d say it was 720 or 540 quality. There is no optical zoom which means the 16x “super zoom” produces a very grainy and noisy zoomed image. Overall the image is grainy and very obviously a low quality digital video. To top it off, there is no auto focus - something my Dad’s camcorders had in the 90s, the suggestion from the manufacturer is to keep the subject 1.5m away from the camera which sort of defeats the point of a zoom function.I cannot stress how poor this camera is and many of the other cameras on this website of similar price and origin. Avoid this product at all costs.

Reasonable quality that is still capable of capturing unforgettable moments
With a recent addition to my exended family, what better way to celebrate a new little life by capturing the moment with a new little camera. The recording quality is OK, I don't think it's really 4K though!? However, it's got some nice features and for the money, is good enough as an introductory product for those who are learning how to film, such as amateurs and children. It's also small enough for little hands to control and use the touch screen. It also fits in ones pocket quite nicely. Having two batteries and an external mic and a remote control is certainly a bonus and very useful. Night vision is not so great, but I'm not too fussed because we're not competing with Sir David Attenborough and his team. Equally the zoom level is not amazing, but again I'm not bird watching, or trying to view tiny creatures across a pond with it. All in all a professional looking product with some nice extras, with entry level features and quality.

not good for linking to pc
my main grief with this cam is the lack of auto focus or manual focus.. this cam is useless with close items.. or sitting in front using it as a broadcasting cam for the pc.. it connects and works.. but you have no control over focus or settings.. i was hoping to use it to view my work and to record time lapses and for making videos.. i would suggest buying a good webcam.. i would not say the quality is even that good for a picture.. i have not had a chance to use outside.. for normal recordings.. but has no use for me.. again the lack of auto focus that works or a manual focus.. ahh well.. i will see how it works outside.. i may be sending this back.. depending on more tests..

Works great.
Great value digital camcorder for those not willing to spend silly money, by only gripe would be the camcorder to pc connectivity, you cant live record with the camcorder while viewing on the pc, or if I am wrong, I would invite information/advice explaining how, other than that, recommended product.

This really is an excellent piece of equipment
This 4K Video Camera really is an excellent piece of equipment, that the more I use it, the more I appreciate it. As a 60 plus year old, some technology is lost on me, but it really is easier to use than my older one. And I had a real surprise at the battery life, yes there are 2 of them, but they last far longer than my old recorder.Getting it out of the box and finding the battery nearly fully charged, meant that I could just get on with it and play with it.Whilst I'm using it in the main in an office environment to record training aides, I can see how easy and good it would be to use elsewhere and I thought and still think it was good value for the price.

Simple to Master & Use. Great Video & Picture Quality. Excellent for the Price
An uncomplicated Video Camera. I've taken great, clear, footage of my daughter's wedding & was somewhat amazed for the price paid. I've taken still shots too with no problem and the photo I've uploaded is of the Severn Bridge and taken on a dull day and whilst in a moving vehicle - reasonably comparable with my Coolpix L840 camera. The Have yet to try night vision though. Overall, surprisingly very pleased. My only criticism is the information contauined in the manual which I found a bit 'lacking' for someone totally unfamiliar with digital videa cameras. Had I not had my Coolpix I may have struggled especially with transferring pictures & film from the device to the computer since I was expecting some kind of software to launch for the transfer. Once I worked out / discovered it was as simple as a 'copy & paste' I was quite taken aback!
