Kinda tricky, but my son had to have him, and likes him.
My son loves transformers. Normally he just likes ones he's seen on TV or cartoons or his books, but for some unknown reason latched on to this guy and had to have him (I think it was the weapons pods and gripper claws). So when he got it as a gift, he was very excited, but once we tried to transform him, it was clear he was a little tricky. Overall he still really likes him, but he doesn't tranform him very much.

Way too complicated for the age listed
Frustrating yes. Fun for kids not. Most parts fall off since such manipulation is needed to play with the toy.

Not a toy for children under 5-6...
I was searching for an easy transformer for my twins that were 4 years old. They could complete without help 36+ piece puzzles so I figured a transformer would be a great gift. I sorted by age and thought if it said 5 and up they would struggle buy would get it after a few tries. I struggled with it and so did our 16 year old son. It broke after only 5 attempts to build and rebuild it.
