Lamplight Classic Oil Lamp, Frosted Glass, Pack of 1

It seems at least once a year the neighborhood power transformer blows up around here. Takes the power company a good four hours or more to fix it during which time our block is left in the dark. These little lamps are a godsend when this happens. At this price you can have a few of these on hand for such emergencies to bring a little civilization back into your home while you wait it out. Save your flashlights for more important uses, place a few lamps around the house so you don't trip over things, break out a deck of cards, some wine and a battery powered radio and you won't be completely annoyed with that antiquated failure prone power grid. Simple, reliable lamps that burn parafin based or other lamp fuels, frosted glass base that lets you see how much oil is left and ever so stylish.

There can be some variables when you buy glass products I suppose. I did read all of the reviews before I bought these, but I bought them anyway. The glass globes are not thin as other complaints have mentioned. . They are a normal thickness for this application and they fit the lamps snugly with no looseness or ill fitting symptoms. The bottom of the lamp is flush and sits firmly on the countertop with no rocking or instability of any kind that others have mentioned. I like the lamps very much and they will be a permanent part of my foul weather gear for my house. We get a lot of hurricanes here and they will be used a lot. Very happy with my purchase.

I bought these (4 of them) based on the previous reviews. I think they are fine for what they cost. They are plenty big to go on the mantle above the fireplace and I have one sitting there filled with oil and ready to be used when needed. The rest are packed back into their boxes and in storage for when we may need them should the power go off for and extended period of time.The lamps are very breakable being all glass except the metal parts so please don't leave them where children can knock them over. The chimneys are rather fragile and I'm even extra careful when removing them to light the flame and replacing them afterwards. The one sitting on the mantle is a little lopsided from where the metal parts join together but not enough to cause concern. The wick soaked up the oil fast and burns evenly and the light emitted is fairly bright for one medium/small room. I tested one lamp one evening after dark by turning off all the lights including the TV set and was pleased with the light it created. I think if I had two or more going the room would be quite bright.All in all they are good lamps but I don't really expect them to last for many years since they are all glass but who knows....they might. Also, they came very well packed each one in it's own individual box, and all 4 in a larger, strong cardboard box.

Does what it should it is affordable and in my opinion beautiful. It is a cheap one and only time will tell. As of now i would recommend for a good decrotive prep. Power outage hurricane etc

I do not have any problems with this oil lamp or the odorless oil I got with it. And I love the craftsmanship. Oil lamps are just relaxing and great for camping. I use them in my house a lot
