This is such a cute story. It's perfect for a new mom. It captures the struggles and the sacrifices of motherhood and shows the endless love that a mother gives her baby. I absolutely love the illustrations.

This book brought me to tears and my 2.5 year old boy loved it. It is a beautiful short and rhythmic story that speaks about the ups and downs of love. When we read it, I let my son describe the imagery as I explain in a simple way what the story is trying to tell us. “[love] it’s sensing when the time is right to lift those wings, to travel on.” I say “the little duck grew and now wants to fly”. It’s just a wonderful wonderful story and I truly appreciate the black girl character as I try to bring diversity to the books I read to my son. You won’t regret buying it, it will make a beautiful gift as well.

The SWEETEST book with the best illustrations. My daughter and I have read this with her eyes in awe. Beautiful meaning and pictures for she and I to enjoy together. Thank you for making this!!! Highly recommend as a gift to a new mom or for a little girl’s birthday.

What a delightful book to share with my granddaughter. It really shows the importance of love, letting love go, and how love comes back to you.

On a whim, I bought this book. A few days later it arrived, poignantly available to steer myself and my family into our new season of my return to career and the kids to school for the first time. Honestly, I’d buy this for grown-up friends who are having a child leave the nest, go to school for the first time, or other major transitions in parenting. The illustrations are adorable and delightful. The story is encouraging (even though a few tears might come to your eyes, it’s all goodness.) I love it. Do yourself a favor, and buy this book. My little four year old asked me to read it two times in a row.
